  • Gastric cancer is a major health issue in China, with a high rate of recurrence and significant psychological impacts on survivors, particularly fear of cancer returning.
  • This study examined 312 early gastric cancer patients treated with a specific procedure (endoscopic submucosal dissection) to identify factors that influence their fear of recurrence.
  • Key factors found to affect this fear included gender, family history of cancer, tumor status, infection rates, and how patients perceive their disease, indicating a need for targeted psychological support in post-operative care.
