Background: Denosumab has been reported to improve bone mineral density (BMD), but the clinical impact of denosumab on osteoporosis in kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) remains controversial.
Methods: We analyzed 98 KTRs who used denosumab from 2018 to 2023. We investigated the change in BMD, laboratory findings, complications of denosumab, fracture risk assessment tool (FRAX) score, acute rejection within 1 year, and graft failure.
Introduction: Delayed diagnosis to treatment interval (DTI) in head and neck cancers (HNC) can significantly impact patient outcomes. The need for multimodal treatment in HNC may cause delays in initiation of treatment. This systematic review aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the consequences of delayed DTI on both oncologic and QoL outcomes, proposing a new quality benchmark along the treatment continuum of HNC patients.

Purpose: We sought to analyze the visual outcome and systemic prognostic factors for diabetic vitrectomy and predicted outcomes using these factors.
Methods: This was a multicenter electronic medical records (EMRs) review study of 1504 eyes with type 2 diabetes that underwent vitrectomy for proliferative diabetic retinopathy at 6 university hospitals. Demographics, laboratory results, intra-operative findings, and visual acuity (VA) values were analyzed and correlated with visual outcomes at 1 year after the vitrectomy.
Background: In lymphedema, lymphatic fluid accumulates in the interstitial space, and localized swelling appears. Lymphovenous anastomosis (LVA) is the most widely used surgery to rebuild a damaged lymphatic system; however, assessing outcome of LVA involves performing volume measurements, which provides limited information on body composition changes. The authors hypothesized that the free flap would benefit the surrounding ischemic tissue as a nutrient flap by increasing the tissue oxygen content.
