Spatially offset Raman scattering (SORS) line-mapping was explored as a versatile tool to examine accuracy variations in compositional analyses of tablets with different particle sizes. SORS spectra collected near the laser irradiation were less representative of tablet composition due to the limited spectroscopic sampling volume, while the signal-to-noise (S/N) ratios of corresponding spectra were higher. On the other hand, SORS spectra at longer offset distances were better representative of tablet composition, while their S/N ratios were decreased considerably.

In recent years, alternative histochemical evaluation methods have been pursued to accelerate intraoperative diagnosis, often by bypassing the time-consuming step of dyeing. Owing to strong endogenous signals from coenzymes, metabolites, and proteins, autofluorescence spectroscopy is a favorable candidate technique to achieve this aim.

To address those issues, herein, self-healable and highly stretchable multifunctional binders, polydioxythiophene:polyacrylic acid:phytic acid (PEDOT:PAA: PA, PDPP) that provide Si anodes with self-healability and excellent structural integrity is designed. By utilizing the self-healing binder, Si anodes self-repair cracks and damages of Si anodes generated during cycling.

The optical redox ratio (ORR), which is defined as the fluorescence intensity ratio between reduced nicotine adenine dinucleotide (NADH) and oxidized flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), has been used as a diagnostic parameter strongly, because NADH and FAD play an important role in energetic and respiratory metabolism as coenzymes. The ORR method has provided successful assessment in cancer diagnosis including breast, cervical, and oral cancer; few studies have been reported about optical and chemical interference between two molecules resulting in a change in ORR values.
