Consistently arranging molecules within single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) templates shows promise for creating advanced 1D heterostructures, but diameter variations in raw SWCNTs pose a significant challenge. In this work, a precise synthesis of C fullerene-filled SWCNTs (C@SWCNTs) is achieved through vapor-phase filling followed by polymer sorting. As the SWCNT diameter increases, C molecules first stack in a single chain, then form unusual configurations, including staggered double chains and double helices-configurations not observed in bulk C crystals.

It is crucial to clarify the metabolic pathway of 4-HBd and its correlation with the anti-ischemic stroke mechanism. The objective of this study was to explore the possible mechanism of 4-HBd in clearing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and protecting blood-brain barrier from oxidative stress damage during brain metabolism from the perspective of ROS response.

Methods: A total of 214 patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) were allocated into the mild-to-moderate and severe liver fibrosis groups based on liver fibrosis degree. The genotypes at the MBOAT7 rs641738 locus were evaluated.
The functional lactone 2-Methyl-2-propanyl-7-oxo-1,4-oxazepane-4-carboxylate (BocOP), containing a protected secondary amino group, is synthesized through oxone-mediated Baeyer-Villiger oxidation. After that, the homopolymerization kinetics of BocOP catalyzed by immobilized Candida antarctia lipase B (Novozym 435, N435) are investigated. The N435 can efficiently catalyze the conversion of BocOP into poly(β-amino ester) (PAE).

Here, we unveil a concept, few-photon irradiated TPA, supported by a spatiotemporal model based on the principle of wave-particle duality of light. This model describes the precise time-dependent mechanism of TPA under ultralow photon irradiance with a single tightly focused femtosecond laser pulse.

In this phase 2 multicenter PLATINUM trial (NCT03984357), we recruited 152 NPC patients who received 12-cycle nivolumab plus induction chemotherapy and radiotherapy without concurrent cisplatin. After a median follow-up of 43 months, the 3-year failure-free survival (FFS) was 88.

In this study, we develop an inducible dual recombinase-mediated intersectional genetics by combining Dre-rox and Cre-lox recombination technologies to specifically target two subpopulations of NSCs (α- and β-NSCs). By visiting their cell lineage and functionality, we find that α- and β-NSCs display distinct self-renewal and differentiation potential, as well as differential responses to external stimuli.

Concurrently, the significant therapeutic effect of T-DXd on patients with HER2-low tumors has brought this group into the public spotlight. Since the clinical approval of T-DXd in 2019, there has been a significant vertical surge in the volume of publications within this domain.

In this retrospective study, risk scoring was performed in patients positive for pulmonary nodules and subsequently, PNs were sampled by invasive procedures for pathological examinations. The pathological classification was used as the gold standard, and statistical and machine learning methods showed, that in 210 patients (23 benign PN and 187 malignant PN), the risk score of Metabonomics, radiomics, and multi-omics had different levels of performance in different risk groups based on various predictive models.

In this study, curcumin (Cur)-loaded nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) were prepared using whey protein isolate and pectic polysaccharide as emulsifiers. The NLCs were then incorporated into IPNs formed through in-situ gelation, where genipin and Ca were used as gelators to crosslink the protein and pectic polysaccharide, respectively.

Furthermore, the evolution of phonon-phonon interactions (PPIs) across CDW transitions has rarely been investigated. Whether electron-phonon coupling (EPC) would be weakened or enhanced after CDW transitions is still under debate.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD) are the most common NDs. Pathologically, NDs are characterized by progressive failure of neural interactions and aberrant protein fibril aggregation and deposition, which lead to neuron loss and cognitive and behavioral impairments.

Cigarette smoke (CS) has detrimental effects on placental growth and embryo development, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to investigate the impact of CS on trophoblast cell proliferation and regulated cell death (RCD) by examining its interference with iron-sulfur cluster (ISC) proteins and the CIA pathway. Exposure to CS disrupted the cytosolic ISC assembly (CIA) pathway, downregulated ISC proteins, and decreased ISC maturation in the placenta of rats exposed to passive smoking.
