Objective: Ichthyosis are complex skin diseases, characterized by hyperkeratosis with various degrees of thickening, desquamation, and erythema. The prenatal diagnosis of ichthyosis is challenged due to the clinical and genetic heterogeneity and the late-onset of fetal features on ultrasound scan. Here, we reported two fetuses with Harlequin ichthyosis (HI), a severe subtype of autosomal recessive congenital ichthyosis (ARCI), who were diagnosed prenatally by images and genetic investigations.

Objective: Management of patients with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) by trained multidisciplinary teams is associated with improved outcomes. Ultrasound can predict intraoperative risks, but expert ultrasound imaging of PAS is often limited. Telemedicine is used increasingly in obstetrics, permitting expert consultation when essential resources are not available locally.

However, data on using tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) is insufficient. The frequent occurrence of postpartum ALT flares may impact the clinical implementation.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of myomectomy on the risk of placenta accreta spectrum in the following pregnancies. Moreover, different methods of myomectomy on the risk of placenta accreta spectrum were explored.
Background: Maternal transplacental antibody is an important origins of passive immunity against neonatal enterovirus infection. Echovirus 11 (E11) and coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3) are important types causing neonatal infections. There were few investigations of enterovirus D68 (EVD68) infection in neonates.

Methods: Using the National Health Insurance Research Database, 207 patients with pregnancy-related TMA from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2015 were enrolled.
Background: The purpose of this study is to compare the clinical characteristics and surgical outcomes of thoracotomy and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) in children with congenital lung malformations (CLMs) in a tertiary referring center and to report our modified biportal VATS setting.
Methods: This is a single-center retrospective chart review study including children who underwent surgical resection for CLMs between January 2007 and December 2020. Patient characteristics and surgical outcomes were compared between open and thoracoscopy, as well as conventional VATS and biportal VATS.
Background: Ultrasound has demonstrated a high accuracy in the prenatal diagnosis of placenta accreta spectrum. However, it is not known whether ultrasound findings can pinpoint the depths of villous invasion, recommend surgical strategies, and predict clinical outcomes.
Objective: We described an ultrasound descriptor for the placenta accreta spectrum and investigated whether it can predict the severity of villous invasion and clinical outcomes.
Objective: To create a model for prediction of success of uterine-preserving procedures in women with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS).
Methods: PAS-ID is a multicenter study that included 11 centers from 9 countries. Women with PAS, who were managed between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2019, were retrospectively included.
The pathophysiology of female overactive bleeder syndrome (OAB) remains undetermined. Our aim is to elucidate the role of vacularization and overall perfusion of the bladder wall in women with OAB. Between 2010 and 2016, women with OAB and the asymptomatic controls were enrolled.

Here, we describe a case in which Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) was first suspected because of placental mesenchymal dysplasia. Although the baby did not show the stigmata characteristic of BWS or abnormal peripheral blood methylation, she developed a massive pancreatoblastoma 2 months later.

The dichotomous effect of TGF-β on epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) between trophoblast invasion and cancer progression remains unknown and a critical concern. We attenuated the expression of TGF-β type 1 receptor (coding by ) with RNA interference in trophoblastic cells and significantly enhanced the trophoblastic invasion.

The clinical manifestations of CSP present a wide range of variations, and the optimal management is yet to be defined. We retrospectively enrolled 109 patients with the diagnosis of CSP from our department and categorized them into four grades based on the ultrasound presentation.

We conducted a retrospective observational study on ECMO application at a single tertiary center over a five-year period. Five patients who suffered post-partum hemorrhage resulting from uterine atony were treated with ECMO.

We report a male infant with these combined anomalies who presented with severe cyanosis, heart failure, and respiratory distress after birth. Biventricular repair was successfully performed with 1-stage correction of his ventricular septal defect (VSD), right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) obstruction, and tricuspid regurgitation.

Case Report: A 19-year-old women, G1P0, presented with fetal multilocular thoracic mass and hydropic change at 23 weeks of gestation. After non-directive genetic counseling, she opted for intrauterine cyst aspiration followed by intra-cystic OK-432 injection at 24 weeks of pregnancy, as well as sequential thoracoamniotic shunts at 26 weeks and 27 weeks of pregnancy when we observed hydrops developed progressively.
Background: Neonates with severe forms of Ebstein anomaly present a surgical challenge, and the Starnes operation as single ventricle palliation is highly advocated. Cone reconstruction for tricuspid valvuloplasty (TVP) has become a widely accepted technique, although very few cases of TVP have been reported in neonates. This report describes a surgical strategy for neonatal Ebstein anomaly, with an aim toward biventricular repair.

Methods: In a retrospective study, the medical records of patients with CSP treated at National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan, from 1994 to 2015 were reviewed. The women were managed primarily with hysterotomy, evacuation, or methotrexate.
We report a modified Norwood stage I procedure for tricuspid atresia, transposition of great arteries, and hypoplastic right aortic arch with complete vascular ring. In this technique, we applied dual arterial cannulation to avoid circulation arrest during neoaortic reconstruction, and also corrected the arch laterality during the Norwood stage I palliation procedure. Pulmonary flow was supplied by the Blalock-Taussig shunt.
