Two hundred thirty-six posterior stabilized total knee arthroplasties (TKAs) were performed consecutively. Twenty-seven patellar clunk syndromes were identified in 25 patients. Insall-Salvati ratio, position of joint line, postoperative patellar height, and anterior-posterior position of tibial tray were measured.

Peroneal padding: an alternative to a peroneal post in hip arthroscopy.

We report an arthroscopic method of treatment using sutures, without the need of any metal implants, that can be safely used in patients with open physes and without the need of a 70 degrees arthroscope.

Why are we still using pre-operative skin traction for hip fractures?

We performed a prospective randomised trial to evaluate the efficacy of pre-operative skin traction for proximal femoral fractures in 311 patients. We found a significant difference in pain score on the evening of admission and the first morning after admission between the groups with traction compared the group without. However, there was no corresponding increase in analgesic requirement during this period.

How to overcome severed sutures of the tibial bone peg in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

We report a case of severed sutures of the tibial bone peg during anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. The graft retracted proximally in the bone tunnel. We describe a simple and aesthetically acceptable method to salvage this rare complication by use of a small arthrotomy through the defect in the remaining patellar tendon.
