Leukemia poses significant challenges to its treatment, and understanding its complex pathogenesis is crucial. This study used metagenomic sequencing to investigate the interplay between chemotherapy, gut microbiota, and antibiotic resistance in patients with acute leukemia (AL). Pre- and post-chemotherapy stool samples from patients revealed alterations in microbial richness, taxa, and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs).

Simultaneously enhancing the quantum yields and luminescence lifetimes of organic persistent room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) molecules is a priority in the organic photonic area, but it remains a formidable challenge. Here, an effective strategy was proposed to improve both quantum efficiencies and emission decay times for phosphorescent triphenylphosphine salts. This approach involves integrating an electron donor unit into a triphenylphosphine salt an alkyl chain.

We here investigated the efficiency of autologous melanocyte transplantation of 23 vitiligo patients by focusing on perilesional skin homing CD8+ T lymphocytes, and studied the potential effect of dermal mesenchymal stem cells (DMSCs) on CD8+ T cell activities in vitro. Out of 23 patients with the autologous melanocyte transplantation, 12 patients (52.17%) had an excellent re-pigmentation, 6 patients (26.

Cell-mediated autoimmunity has been suggested to be involved in the melanocyte apoptosis that occurs in vitiligo. We investigated the cytotoxicity to autologous melanocytes of CD8+ T cells from the perilesional margins and peripheral blood samples of vitiligo patients. CD8+ T cells isolated from skin biopsied from the edges of depigmented skin patches of vitiligo patients or from peripheral blood samples of the same donors were proliferated in culture medium.

Photodegradation of Norfloxacin in aqueous solution containing algae under a medium pressure mercury lamp (15 W, lambda(max) = 365 nm) was investigated. Results indicated that the photodegradation of Norfloxacin could be induced by the algae in the heterogeneous algae-water systems. The photodegradation rate of Norfloxacin increased with increasing algae concentration, and was greatly influenced by the temperature and pH of solution.

Background: Surgical treatment of vitiligo is indicated when lesions are localized in poorly responding areas. Various surgical procedures are used to treat stable vitiligo with an inherited shortage in each one.

Objectives: To evaluate the usefulness of the treatment of transplantation of autologous minigrafts for (local and generalized) stable vitiligo.
