An Unusual Giant Osteochondroma of Distal Tibia: A Case Report with Literature Review.

Introduction: Benign bone tumors like osteochondroma are common during skeletal maturity occurring usually at the ends of long bones, such as the distal femur, proximal humerus, and proximal tibia. The tumor can occur in sessile or pedunculated forms. Mass lesions occurring around the ankle can lead to chronic pain, pathological fractures, progressive erosion, and scalloping of adjacent bone.

Autologous non-vascularized fibula with compression plating in the management of aseptic complex non-union of long bones.

Background: The surgical treatment of non-union of long bones are challenging especially when bones are osteoporotic or there is a large bone gap due to repeated surgeries and implant failures. Plate with intramedullary fibula provides a stable construct as fibula acts as a second implant with better anchorage and high pull-out strength. The aim of our study is to present our experience of treating complex non-union of long bones using compression plating (LCP/DCP) in combination with autologous non-vascularized fibular graft (ANVFG).

Medial pivot dislocation of talonavicular joint- A rare injury with literature review.

Medial pivot dislocations are dislocation of talonavicular joint (TNJ) medially with calcaneum subluxate beneath the talus with intact calcaneocuboid joint and interosseous ligament. These dislocations have subtle incidence and are mostly related to high energy injuries. These dislocations are easy to reduce having good functional outcome if diagnosed early.

Augmentation of elastic stable intramedullary nail with external fixator in the management of comminuted shaft femur fracture in adolescents.

Background: The management of adolescent femur fractures continues to evolve and remains controversial. Currently, operative fixation methods are favoured, offering options such as external fixator, flexible and locked intramedullary nailing, compression and locked plating. Our study aims to introduce a novel approach for treating adolescent femoral shaft fractures by combining an external fixator with an elastic stable intramedullary nail.

Introduction: Femoral neck fractures present a significant challenge for orthopedic surgeons, especially in young patients who want to preserve their natural femoral head. Introduction: The medial compartment is commonly involved in age-related osteoarthritis knee because weight-bearing axis passes close to the medial condyle and its large surface area. Various treatments have been proposed ranging from conservative to total knee arthroplasty which is an expensive and complex treatment. Recently, proximal fibular osteotomy (PFO) for medial compartment knee osteoarthritis became popular as a treatment modality.

Introduction: We conducted a prospective study to find out change in limb length (lengthening/shortening) after total knee arthroplsty in unilateral and bilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA) because few literature is available regarding limb length discrepancy in TKA in comparison to total hip arthroplasty. Limb length discrepancy (LLD) may lead to low back pain and gait abnormalities.

Material And Methods: We divided 58 patients into two groups: Group A (28 patients) includes patients who underwent unilateral TKA and Group B (30 patients) includes patients who underwent bilateral TKA.

Introduction: Management of the complex non union of tibia is a challenging task due to infection, bony gap, deformity, poor bone quality and poor soft tissue cover at fracture site. Background: The literature is scanty regarding the anthropometric predictors on the diameter of quadruple hamstring graft obtained in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction in Indian population. Minimum diameter of the graft for ACL reconstruction should be >7 mm to preclude failure. The objective of this study was to assess the prediction of the hamstring graft diameter by several anthropometric parameters including age, thigh circumference, weight, height and body mass index (BMI).
