Background: Although systemic chemotherapy is a standard approach for osteosarcoma (OS) treatment, its efficacy is limited by the inherent or acquired resistance to apoptosis of tumor cells. Ferroptosis is considered as an effective strategy capable of stimulating alternative pathways of cancer cell demise.
