Background: Progestin And AdipoQ Receptor Family Member VI () plays a significant role in the non-genomic effects of rapid steroid responses and is abnormally expressed in various tumors. However, its biological function in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) and its potential as a therapeutic target remain underexplored.
Methods: In this study, was identified as a critical oncogene by WGCNA algorithm and differential gene expression analysis using TCGA - KIRC and GSE15641 data.
The present study aimed to investigate the expression of microRNA (miRNA or miR)-186 in tumor tissue, blood and urine from patients with bladder cancer. The mechanism by which miR-186 regulates the invasion and metastasis of bladder cancer was also assessed. A total of 76 patients who underwent surgical resection of bladder cancer tissues between August 2012 and January 2016 were included in the present study.

Our present study aimed to explore the underlying pathways and interaction network involved in the roles of OIP5 in BC.
Methods: Microarray analysis was conducted to obtain mRNA expression profiling of OIP5 knockdown (shOIP5) and control (shCtrl) BC cell lines.

Purpose: To explore the biological functions and mechanism of Opa interacting protein 5 (OIP5) in bladder cancer (BC).
Methods: We investigated the expression of OIP5 in BC through immunohistochemical staining (IHC) and its correlation with clinicopathologic features of BC patients. Moreover, knockdown of OIP5 was performed in BC cell lines and colony formation capacity, cell growth curve, cell cycle phase and cell apoptosis assay was applied for investigating the roles of OIP5 in BC.
Cullin1 (Cul1) is a scaffold protein of the ubiquitin E3 ligase Skp1/Cullin1/Rbx1/F-box protein complex, which ubiquitinates a broad range of proteins involved in cell-cycle progression, signal transduction, and transcription. To investigate the role of Cul1 in the development of renal cell carcinoma (RCC), we evaluated the Cul1 expression by immunohistochemistry using a tissue microarray (TMA) containing 307 cases of RCC tissues and 34 normal renal tissues. The Cul1 expression was increased significantly in RCC and was correlated with renal carcinoma histology grade (P = 0.

In this retrospective study, we collected the Gleason score, PSA, BMI, age, race, and other related clinical data on 290 patients who had undergone prostatic biopsy. We then compared the prostate cancer detection rates and Gleason scores between the high BMI group (BMI ≥ 25; 143 cases) and low BMI group (< 25; 147 cases).

Objective: To evaluate continuous change in renal function by various clinical factors after radical nephrectomy (RN).
Methods: Patients after RN from January 2007 to December 2011 in the First Affiliated Hospital to Soochow University were enrolled, 356 cases continuously enrolled throughout the follow-up process, because of lost, missing data and other material reasons, 185 cases meet the requirements, eventually, including 121 male and 64 female patients, aged from 30 to 88 years (average age: (58 ± 12) years). There were 34 diabetes mellitus, 82 hypertension patients.
Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy (mPCNL) without nephrostomy drainage tubes.
Methods: We prospectively enrolled 32 eligible patients with kidney stones at our hospital. Patients were randomly assigned to a conventional mPCNL group (ureteric Double-J stents and nephrostomy drainage tubes) or a tubeless mPCNL group (ureteric catheter but no drainage tubes).
Objective: To study the protection of gene transfer-induced human heme oxygenase-1 over-expression against renal ischemia reperfusion injury in rats.
Methods: The model of kidney ischemia-reperfusion injury was established with Sprague-Dawley rats. In the therapy group (n=18), the left kidney was perfused and preserved with Ad-hHO-1 at 2.
