- This study focused on 3-6 year-old Mandarin-speaking children with ASD, analyzing their speech in comparison to children with developmental disorders (DD) and typically developing (TD) children.
- Results revealed that children with ASD had a smaller inventory of initial and final sounds compared to TD peers, and differences in syllable structure diversity and complexity were noted between ASD and DD children, indicating a widening gap in language abilities as age increased.
