Objectives: This study aimed to compare the side effects of different steroids used in the intratympanic injections (IT).

Methods: One hundred and sixty patients diagnosed with sudden sensorineural hearing loss and undergoing IT were assigned to four groups based on the type or concentration of steroids administered (Group DM5: 5 mg/ml Dexamethasone sodium phosphate; Group DM10: 10 mg/ml Dexamethasone sodium phosphate; Group MP: 40 mg/ml Methylprednisolone sodium succinate; Group BM: 4 mg/ml Betamethasone sodium phosphate). Each group comprised 40 patients, and all participants received IT six times.

Aim: To comprehensively evaluate the dynamic change of vestibular function during long-term follow-up of vestibular neuritis, as well as the co-relationship with the outcomes of vestibular neuritis (VN), which provides the recommendations for vestibular function tests during the course of VN.

Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted on 16 patients with acute VN. Caloric test, vHIT, rotatory chair tests, VEMP, dizziness handicap inventory (DHI) score, and dynamic dizzy scales (VAS-DD) was first performed within 7 days of neuritis onset, which were further re-evaluated during the 6-12 months of follow-up.

Background: Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is the leading cause of vertigo, and its characteristic nystagmus induced by positional maneuvers makes it a good model for Artificial Intelligence (AI) diagnosis. However, during the testing procedure, up to 10 min of indivisible long-range temporal correlation data are produced, making the AI-informed real-time diagnosing unlikely in clinical practice.

Methods: A combined 1D and Deep-Learning (DL) composite model was proposed.

Objective: Rotational Chair Test (RCT) is considered one of the most critical measures for vestibular functionality, which generally includes the sinusoidal harmonic acceleration test (SHAT), velocity step test (VST), and visual suppression (VS). The purpose of this study was to establish normal values for different age groups on the RCT and investigate whether motion susceptibility, such as with a history of motion sickness or migraine, has any effects on test metrics.

Methods: One hundred and nine subjects aged from 20 to 59 years who were free from neurotological and vestibular disorders were enrolled.

Objectives/hypothesis: Probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE) is a novel technique allowing real-time evaluation of the histological features of tissues in vivo at the cellular level. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of using pCLE in the diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).

Study Design: Feasibility study.
