Aim: Acute aortic dissection (AAD) represents a cardiovascular ailment characterised by a notable mortality rate. Chronobiological patterns can offer a predictive framework for anticipating the onset of AAD.

Method: Data were gathered from 1,151 patients diagnosed with AAD at Changhai Hospital in Shanghai, China, spanning 2000-2023.

Background: Ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (RAAA) is a fatal disease. This study aimed to assess the prognostic value of the preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in patients with RAAA undergoing endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR).

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included patients with RAAA who underwent EVAR from 2012 to 2022.

Objective: To study the effects of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) on length of stay (LOS) and hospitalization costs in postoperative inpatients.

Methods: Two researchers collectively searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, China Network Knowledge Infrastructure, and Wanfang Database. The search time was set from the beginning to 25 April 2023, to identify randomized controlled trials articles that met the criteria.

This study aimed to determine the effect of supervised exercise training (SET) on cardiovascular function in patients with intermittent claudication (IC). A systematic search in MEDLINE, Embase, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials databases was conducted. Primary outcomes were systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), heart rate (HR), rate pressure product (RPP), cardiac output (CO), peak oxygen consumption (VO), and heart rate variability (HRV).

In some complicated situations, decompression sickness (DCS) combined with other injuries, such as irradiation, will seriously endanger life safety. However, it is still unclear whether irradiation will increase the incidence of DCS. This study was designed to investigate the damage effects of irradiation on decompression injury and the underlying mechanism.

Purpose Of Review: Heart failure is a severe clinical syndrome with complex and unclarified mechanisms, and it poses a serious threat to human health. MicroRNA, a non-coding RNA, can directly bind to target genes and regulate their expression. The important role of microRNAs in the development of HF has become a hot topic of research in recent years.

Background: Cold exposure has been considered an essential risk factor for the global disease burden, while its role in cardiovascular diseases is still underappreciated. The increase in frequency and duration of extreme cold weather events like cold spells makes it an urgent task to evaluate the effects of ambient cold on different types of cardiovascular disease and to understand the factors contributing to the population's vulnerability.

Methods: In the present systematic review and meta-analysis, we searched PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane.

Objective: To summarize the function and efficacy of immunotherapy as an adjunctive therapy in the treatment of advanced chordoma.

Methods: Literature search was conducted by two reviewers independently. Case reports, case series and clinical trials of immunotherapy for chordoma were retrieved systematically from Pubmed, Web of Science, Scoupus and Cochrane Library.

Due to limited investigations about efficacy of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) plus immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) versus TKIs alone, and effects of durations of bone modifying agents (BMAs) on the survival of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and bone metastases (BoM), we aim to compare the efficacy of TKIs both alone and in combination with ICIs, as well as comparing long-term and no or perioperative use of BMAs for patients with HCC and BoM. Patients with pathologically confirmed HCC and BoM were included in the study. They were stratified into the TKIs group and the TKIs + ICIs group, and the perioperative and the long-term use of BMAs group.

Objective: Cyclooxygenase (COX) is critical in regulating cardiovascular function, but its role involved in the central control of blood pressure (BP) is uncovered. The tonic glutamatergic inputs to the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM) are enhanced in hypertension. Here, the present study was designed to investigate the effect and mechanism of central COX on tonic glutamatergic inputs to the RVLM and BP regulation.
