Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) declared Human Monkeypox (mpox) as a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) in July 2022. Due to border quarantine and isolation measures implemented from January 2020 to December 2022, Beijing did not report its first locally transmitted case of mpox until May 31, 2023, which represented a delayed occurrence compared to other countries. The persistence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related hospitalization severely threatens medical systems worldwide and has increased the need for reliable detection of acute status and prediction of mortality. We applied a systems biology approach to discover acute-stage biomarkers that could predict mortality. A total 247 plasma samples were collected from 103 COVID-19 (52 surviving COVID-19 patients and 51 COVID-19 patients with mortality), 51 patients with other infectious diseases (IDCs) and 41 healthy controls (HCs).

As the long-term consequences of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have not been defined, it is necessary to explore persistent symptoms, long-term respiratory impairment, and impact on quality of life over time in COVID-19 survivors. In this prospective cohort study, convalescent individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 were followed-up 2 and 3 years after discharge from hospital. Participants completed an in-person interview to assess persistent symptoms and underwent blood tests, pulmonary function tests, chest high-resolution computed tomography, and the 6-min walking test.

Active sites, mass loading, and Li-ion diffusion coefficient are the benchmarks for boosting the areal capacity and storage capability of electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The differentiated characteristics of the silver (elderly) group from other groups means that the previous interaction mechanism in short-form video (SFV) e-commerce is no longer applicable. Drawing on sociotechnical systems theory and the ERG theory, this study is motivated to explore the purchase intention of silver consumers in SFV platforms. We categorize the characteristics of SFV platforms into social and technical aspects, and analyze silver consumers' purchasing decisions in terms of existence, relatedness, and growth needs.

Based on the 'AT(N)' system, individuals with normal amyloid biomarkers but abnormal tauopathy or neurodegeneration biomarkers are classified as non-Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathologic change. This study aimed to assess the long-term clinical and cognitive trajectories of individuals with non-AD pathologic change among older adults without dementia, comparing them to those with normal AD biomarkers and AD pathophysiology. To study a case of a middle-aged male with a non-tumor-associated Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection associated with Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis (NMDARE), to explore the role of EBV in the pathogenesis of anti-NMDARE. The patient was diagnosed with "Anti-NMDARE, EBV infection" by using Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) autoimmune encephalitis profile, and Metagenomics Next-Generation Sequencing (mNGS) pathogenic microbial assays, we discuss the relationship between EBV and NMDARE by reviewed literature. EBV infection may trigger and enhance anti-NMDARE, and the higher the titer of NMDAR antibody, the more severe the clinical presentation.

The charge migration mechanism across the surface heterojunction constructed on an anatase TiO nanocrystal is still under debate. To solve this longstanding question, we present a systematic study of the band edges ( standard hydrogen electrode, SHE) of aqueous TiO interfaces with anatase (101), (100) and (001) surfaces, using a combination of density functional theory-based molecular dynamics (DFTMD) and efficient computational SHE (cSHE) methods. Our calculations show that the conduction band minimum (CBM) of the (101) surface is lower than that of (001) and (100) surfaces, which is thermodynamically favorable for electrons migrating to the (101) surface through the surface heterojunction, while the hole preferentially accumulates on the (100) surface due to its highest valence band minimum (VBM).

InCl@LiAlTi(PO)-F (InCl@LATP-F) solid electrolyte powders are designed and fabricated by coating a uniform InCl layer on the surface of F-doped LiAlTi(PO) (LATP-F) solid powders via a feasible wet-chemical technique. The assembled Li/InCl@LATP-F/Li cell can undergo longer cycles of 2500 h at 0.4 mA cm without obvious increases in the overvoltage compared to 1837 h for the Li/LATP-F/Li cell, and the interfacial resistance demonstrates a sharp decrease from 3428 to 436 Ω for the Li/InCl@LATP-F/Li cell during the first 500 h.

The direct oxidation of three-dimensional nickel foam (3D NF) to nickel oxide (NiO) as integrated anode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) has attracted significant attention towards achieving high-areal-capacity and high-energy density LIBs. However, the rate capability of such monolithic NiO in LIBs usually falls off rapidly due to the poor electrical conductivity that hindered its ionic transport kinetics. Objective: To externally validate the performance of the 2019 American College of Rheumatology (ACR)/European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) classification criteria for IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) within a cohort from China and to compare the criteria with the 2020 revised comprehensive diagnostic (RCD) criteria for IgG4-RD.

Methods: This study included 875 IgG4-RD and 302 non-IgG4-RD cases (213 mimickers and 89 patients with other diseases). Using expert clinical judgment as the gold standard for diagnosis of IgG4-RD, the performance (sensitivity, specificity, area under the curve (AUC) of the 2019 ACR/EULAR criteria for IgG4-RD was evaluated.
