- This study aimed to determine if L-carnitine could enhance pregnancy rates in men with oligoasthenozoospermia undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
- A total of 129 men were divided into two groups: one received L-carnitine for two weeks before ICSI, while the other had ICSI without the medication, allowing for comparison of sperm quality and fertilization outcomes.
- Results showed a significant increase in sperm quality and available embryos in the L-carnitine group, suggesting that this short-term treatment could boost the success rate of ICSI.
