Article Synopsis
  • A systematic review was conducted to understand how different types and durations of exercise affect the quality of life (QoL) in survivors of digestive system cancer (DSC).
  • The review included 32 studies with 2558 participants, finding that short-term aerobic exercise significantly improved general health, mental health, and role functioning, while resistance exercise showed potential benefits for physical health and fatigue.
  • Additionally, short-term aerobic exercise was linked to reductions in insomnia, depression, and anxiety, as well as shorter hospital stays for patients, though long-term resistance exercise effects were less clear.

Sepsis‑induced myocardial dysfunction is one of the features of multiple organ dysfunction in sepsis, which is associated with extremely high mortality and is characterized by impaired myocardial compliance.
