First record of the genus Meyrick (Lepidoptera, Crambidae) from China, with description of a new species.

The genus has two species with an Australian distribution. The present study aims to record the genus from China for the first time and to add a third species, Jie & Li, to the genus. The new species can be distinguished from the congeners by the antemedial line connecting the postmedial line near the dorsum in the hindwing, and the phallus with a cluster of spine-like cornuti in the male genitalia.

Prox1 induces new lymphatic vessel formation and promotes nerve reconstruction in a mouse model of sciatic nerve crush injury.

The peripheral nervous system lacks lymphatic vessels and is protected by the blood-nerve barrier, which prevents lymphocytes and antibodies from entering the neural parenchyma. Peripheral nerve injury results in degeneration of the distal nerve and myelin degeneration causes macrophage aggregation, T lymphocyte infiltration, major histocompatibility complex class II antigen expression, and immunoglobulin G deposition in the nerve membrane, which together result in nerve edema and therefore affect nerve regeneration. In the present paper, we show myelin expression was absent from the sciatic nerve at 7 days after injury, and the expression levels of lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronan receptor 1 (LYVE-1) and Prospero Homeobox 1 (Prox1) were significantly increased in the sciatic nerve at 7 days after injury.

Formation of new lymphatic vessels in glioma: An immunohistochemical analysis.

We investigated the distribution and formation of new lymphatic vessels in gliomas. Specimens from seven glioma cases were analyzed by immunohistochemical staining for CD34, lymphatic endothelial hyaluronic acid receptor 1 (LYVE-1), prospero-related homeobox 1 (Prox1), nestin, and hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α). Three types of vessels were observed in glioma specimens: LYVE-1 lymphatic vessels, CD34 blood vessels, and LYVE-1 /CD34 blood vessels.

The geographical distribution patterns of Hübner in China and description of a new species (Lepidoptera, Crambidae).

The geographical distribution patterns of Hübner in China are analysed with MaxEnt and ArcGIS based on known localities and nineteen environmental variables. The results suggest that southeastern China is a highly suitable area, and Bio11 (mean temperature of the coldest quarter), Bio12 (annual precipitation) and Bio18 (precipitation of the warmest quarter) are revealed to be the main variables affecting the present distribution patterns. Among them, Bio18 is the strongest predictor with a 24.

Reconstruction of lymphatic vessels in the mouse tail after cupping therapy.

Background: The aim of the study was to investigate the regulatory mechanism of local lymphatic reconstruction after cupping therapy in a mouse model.

Materials And Methods: The lymphatic reconstruction process in the mouse tail after cupping therapy as well as the expression levels of the vascular endothelial identification molecule CD34, prospero homeobox protein 1 (PROX1), and lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronan receptor 1 (LYVE-1) were investigated for a duration of 4 days through immunohistochemistry experiments.

Results: On day 1 after cupping therapy, the CD34+ and LYVE-1+ cell densities were significantly increased, and the formed CD34+LYVE-1+ tubular structure started to express PROX1.

Objective To observe the long-term effect of tonifying Shen, activating blood stasis, dispelling wind-dampness (TSABSDWD) combined with Western drugs (WD) for IgA nephropathy. Methods A single center retrospective case-control study was used. The clinical and laboratory examinations, pa- thology of renal biopsy, and treatment programs of IgA nephropathy were obtained from primary IgA ne- phropathy patients (confirmed from renal biopsy at authors' hospital) from Jan 1st, 2008 to Dec 31 , 2008.
