Background: Pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) exhibits a complex microenvironment with diverse cell populations influencing patient prognosis. Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) was used to identify prognosis-related cell types, and DNA methylation (DNAm)-based models were developed to predict outcomes based on their cellular characteristics.
Methods: We integrated scRNA-seq, bulk data, and clinical information to identify key cell populations associated with prognosis.

Rhabdomyolysis (RM)-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) involves the release of large amounts of iron ions from excess myoglobin in the kidneys, which mediates the overproduction of reactive species with the onset of iron overload via the Fenton reaction, thus inducing ferroptosis and leading to renal dysfunction. Unfortunately, there are no effective treatments for AKI other than supportive care. Herein, we developed a multifunctional nanoplatform (MPD) by covalently bonding melanin nanoparticles (MP NPs) to deferoxamine.

Our study demonstrated that TNF blockade markedly enhanced the antitumor efficacy of oncolytic adenovirus (AdV) therapy. To minimize systemic side effects, we engineered a recombinant oncolytic AdV encoding a TNF inhibitor (AdV-TNFi) to confine TNF blockade within the tumor microenvironment (TME).

Diabetic ulcers (DUs) are a common and severe complication of diabetes, characterized by impaired wound healing due to a complex pathophysiological mechanism. Elevated levels of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type I (11β-HSD1) in wounds have been demonstrated to modulate glucocorticoid activity, leading to delayed skin cell proliferation and restricted angiogenesis, ultimately hindering wound healing. In this study, we propose an electrospun poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) nanofiber scaffold doped with the 11β-HSD1 inhibitor BVT2733 (BPs) to prevent 11β-HSD1 activity during the diabetic wound healing process.

Strigolactones (SLs), a class of phytohormones, have been recognized as crucial regulators in plant responses to drought, yet the specific role of SL receptor in drought tolerance in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) remains underexplored.

However, their transient nature (∼milliseconds), high reactivity, and low abundance (nM-μM) in complex biological environments present significant challenges. Near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent probes have emerged as a promising solution for in vivo RNS imaging due to their enhanced sensitivity, spatiotemporal resolution, and deep tissue penetration.

To detect and analyze coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels in convalescent plasma from donors who have recovered from COVID-19. Plasma samples from 88 donors aged 20-54 years who were diagnosed with COVID-19 and who were eligible to donate from Zhejiang Province, China, were collected as the experimental group, and 56 samples from healthy blood donors were used as controls. Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies, including Ab and IgM, were detected via chemiluminescent immunoassay, and neutralizing antibodies were measured via the microneutralization method.

Objective: We conducted a meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) to evaluate the efficacy of PUFA prescription medication in preventing CVD.
Methods: Two reviewers conducted a literature search of Embase, MEDLINE/PubMed, and the Cochrane Library from their inception to September 2023.

Purpose: This study calculates the needed margin from clinical target volume (CTV) to planning target volume (PTV) in IMRT for cervical cancer. It also assesses the impact of setup errors on target and organ at risk (OAR) dose distribution.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 50 cervical cancer patients who underwent IMRT, with 210 CBCT scans.

The foundation of robot autonomous movement is to quickly grasp the position and surroundings of the robot, which SLAM technology provides important support for. Due to the complex and dynamic environments, single-sensor SLAM methods often have the problem of degeneracy. In this paper, a multi-sensor fusion SLAM method based on the LVI-SAM framework was proposed.

We conducted factorial experiments to assess the impacts of warming, including an increased diurnal temperature range (DTRinc), a symmetric increase in diurnal temperature range (DTRsys), a decreased diurnal temperature range (DTRdec) and phosphorus application (5 g and 10 g P m yr) on both intra- and inter-specific competition among plants. The results indicated that (1) the DTRsys for A.

An active peptide prepared from rice bran, KF-8, was confirmed to possess antioxidant activity in our previous study, but the specific target was unclear. This study used eight target prediction tools based on artificial intelligence and chemoinformatics to preliminarily screen potential antioxidant targets by integrating different computational methods.

Phytochrome B (phyB) plays a dominant role in sensing the shading signals (low red to far-red ratios) and triggering SAS. Shade drives phyB conversion to inactive form, consequently leading to the accumulation of PHYTOCHROMEINTERACTING FACTOR 4 (PIF4) that promotes plant growth.

The increasing prevalence of antimicrobial resistance has intensified the need for novel antimicrobial drugs. Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are promising alternative antibiotics due to their broad-spectrum activity and slower resistance development. However, the time-consuming, costly development and challenge of systematic optimization limit their translation into the clinic.

By incorporating the C into TiC, a nanocomposite film with abundant three-dimensional porousness is coated on the TFBG surface. The nanocomposite film with strong hygroscopicity and desorption properties is highly sensitive to environmental humidity variations, where the induced refractive index changes of the coating result in the spectral responses of TFBG multi-resonances.

The vector hydrophone is playing a more and more prominent role in underwater acoustic engineering, and it is a research hotspot in many countries; however, it also has some shortcomings. For the mixed problem involving received signals in micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) vector hydrophones in the presence of a large amount of external environment noise, noise and drift inevitably occur. The distortion phenomenon makes further signal detection and recognition difficult.

This exquisite process incorporates phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of light-harvesting complexes and PSII core subunits, accomplished by thylakoid membrane-localized kinases and phosphatases that have not been fully identified. In this study, one Chlamydomonas high light response gene, THYLAKOID ENRICHED FRACTION 8 (TEF8), was characterized.
