First record of the genus Exilipedronia Williams, 1960 (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Pseudococcidae) in China, with description of a new species on bamboo.

The mealybug genus Exilipedronia Williams, 1960 (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Pseudococcidae) is reported for the first time from Guizhou Province, China, based on a new species found infesting Bambusa sp. (Poaceae). It is described as Exilipedronia multipori Tan & Xing sp.

Medvedevittella nom. nov., a replacement for Gressittella Medvedev, 2009 (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae).

The genus Gressittella belonging to the subfamily Eumolpinae Hope, 1840 (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), was established by Medvedev (2009), however, the name Gressittella Medvedev, 2009, is preoccupied by a leafhopper genus of the tribe Penthimiini (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) based on the type species Gressittella bella Evans, 1972. Thus, following article 60 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN, 1999), Medvedevittella nom. nov.

The results showed that the length of the five mitochondrial genomes ranged from 15,610 to 16,032 bp and included 37 typical genes. The A + T content of Nivanini ranged from 72.

Background: The phylogenetic position and classification of Athysanini are poorly defined, as it includes a large group of polyphyletic genera that have historically been assigned to it mainly because they still exhibit the most typical deltocephaline genitalic and external body characters but lack the distinctive characteristics that other tribes possess. The bamboo-feeding leafhopper genus Abrus belong to the tribe Athysanini of subfamily Deltocephalinae, which currently comprises 19 valid described species, and are limited to the Oriental and Palaearctic regions in China. Although the taxonomy of Abrus are well updated, the references on comparative mitogenomic analyses of Abrus species are only known for a single species.
