Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly heterogeneous tumor, and the development of accurate predictive models for prognosis and drug sensitivity remains challenging.

Methods: We integrated laboratory data and public cohorts to conduct a multi-omics analysis of HCC, which included bulk RNA sequencing, proteomic analysis, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), spatial transcriptomics sequencing (ST-seq), and genome sequencing. We constructed a tumor purity (TP) and tumor microenvironment (TME) prognostic risk model.

The pre-metastatic niche constructed by cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) plays a key role in the hypoxic tumor microenvironment (TME), promoting hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) metastasis. Integrin, which is involved in cell-to-cell or cell-to-matrix interactions and TME regulation, affects tumor metastasis. However, the complex interactions between integrin-mediated HCC cells and CAFs remain unclear.

This study profiled global single cell-spatial-bulk transcriptome landscapes of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) ecosystem from six HCC cases and a non-carcinoma liver control donor. We discovered that intratumoral heterogeneity mainly derived from HCC cells diversity and pervaded the genome-transcriptome-proteome-metabolome network. HCC cells are the core driving force of taming tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) with pro-tumorigenic phenotypes for favor its dominant growth.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) was characterized as being hypervascular. In the present study, we generated a single-cell spatial transcriptomic landscape of the vasculogenic etiology of HCC and illustrated overexpressed Golgi phosphoprotein 73 (GP73) HCC cells exerting cellular communication with vascular endothelial cells with high pro-angiogenesis potential via multiple receptor-ligand interactions in the process of tumor vascular development. Specifically, we uncovered an interactive GP73-mediated regulatory network coordinated with c-Myc, lactate, Janus kinase 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (JAK2/STAT3) pathway, and endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) signals in HCC cells and elucidated its pro-angiogenic roles in vitro and in vivo.

Objective: Clinically significant portal hypertension (CSPH) seriously affects the feasibility and safety of surgical treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. The aim of this study was to establish a new surgical scheme defining risk classification of post-hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) to facilitate the surgical decision-making and identify suitable candidates for individual hepatectomy among HCC patients with CSPH.

Backgrounds: Hepatectomy is the preferred treatment for HCC.

Backgrounds: To compare the efficacy and safety of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined Lenvatinib plus Camrelizumab (TLC) in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) with those of TACE alone .

Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 222 patients with uHCC who were treated between September 2013 and Jun 2023. One group received TACE + lenvatinib + camrelizumab (TLC) (n = 97) and another group received TACE alone (n = 151).

To identify novel susceptibility genes for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), we performed a rare-variant association study in Chinese populations consisting of 2,750 cases and 4,153 controls. We identified four HCC-associated genes, including NRDE2, RANBP17, RTEL1, and STEAP3. Using NRDE2 (index rs199890497 [p.

Netrins, a family of secreted and membrane-associated proteins, can regulate axonal guidance, morphogenesis, angiogenesis, cell migration, cell survival, and tumorigenesis. Four secreted netrins (netrin 1, 3, 4 and 5) and two glycosylphosphatidylinositols-anchored membrane proteins, netrin-G1 and G2, have been identified in mammals. Netrins and their receptors can serve as a biomarker and molecular therapeutic target for pathological differentiation, diagnosis and prognosis of malignant cancers.

Background: This study was recruited to compare the efficacy and safety of radiotherapy (RT) and transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) as postoperative adjuvant therapy after narrow-margin hepatectomy in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients.

Methods: This single-center prospective randomized study was conducted in the Cancer Hospital, Guang Xi Medical University, Nanning. A total of 72 patients who received treatment in this hospital between August 2017 and July 2019 were included and randomly allocated to TACE group (n = 48) and RT group (n = 24).

Background: Systemic inflammatory response is a hallmark of cancer and plays a significant role in the development and progression of various malignant tumors. This research aimed to estimate the prognostic function of the C-reactive protein-albumin ratio (CAR) in patients undergoing hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and compare it with other inflammation-based prognostic scores, including the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, platelet-lymphocyte ratio, monocyte-lymphocyte ratio, systemic immune inflammation index, prognostic index, Glasgow prognostic score, and modified Glasgow prognostic score.

Methods: Retrospective analysis was conducted on data from 1039 HCC cases who underwent curative liver resection.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a highly malignant digestive system tumor, poses substantial challenges due to its intricate underlying causes and pronounced post-surgery recurrence. Consequently, the prognosis for HCC remains notably unfavorable. The endorsement of sorafenib and PD-L1 inhibitors for HCC signifies the onset of a new era embracing immunotherapy and targeted treatment approaches for this condition.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common malignancies, accounting for approximately 10% of global cancer incidence and mortality. Approximately 20% of patients with CRC present metastatic disease (mCRC) at the time of diagnosis. Moreover, up to 50% of patients with localized disease eventually metastasize.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a life-threatening human malignancy and the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Patients with HCC are often diagnosed at an advanced stage with a poor prognosis. Sorafenib is a multikinase inhibitor used as the first-line treatment for patients with advanced HCC.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignancies and a leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Surgery remains the primary and most successful therapy option for the treatment of early- and mid-stage HCCs, but the high heterogeneity of HCC renders prognostic prediction challenging. The construction of relevant prognostic models helps to stratify the prognosis of surgically treated patients and guide personalized clinical decision-making, thereby improving patient survival rates.
