Intratumoral microbiota has become research hotspots, and emerges as a non-negligent new component of tumor microenvironments (TME), due to its powerful influence on tumor initiation, metastasis, immunosurveillance and prognosis despite in low-biomass. Combination immunotherapy synergizing the PD-1 blockade with OX40 agonism has become a research hotspot, due to its enormous potential to overcome the restricted clinical objective response suffered by monotherapy. Questions of timing and sequence have been important aspects of immunotherapies when considering immunologic mechanisms; however, most of the time the straightforward additive approach was taken. Herein, our work is the first to investigate an alternative timing of aOX40 and aPD-1 treatment in melanoma-bearing mice, and it demonstrates that sequential administration (aOX40 first, then aPD-1 following) provided superior antitumor benefits than concurrent treatment.

Background: Hepatic sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (HSOS) is a rare complication in solid organ transplant recipients, especially in liver transplantation recipients. However, the consequences of HSOS occurrence are pernicious, which could result in severe liver or renal failure, and even death. In addition to previously reported azathioprine and acute rejection, tacrolimus is also considered as one predisposing factor to induce HSOS after liver transplantation, although the underlying mechanism remains unclear.

This study determines gender differences in the generation logic for green purchasing intention within the framework of bounded morality and bounded self-interest and determines the causes of the attitude-behavior gap from a new perspective. To evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of sequential portal vein embolization (PVE) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) (PVE+RFA) as a minimally invasive variant for associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) stage-1 in treatment of cirrhosis-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). For HCC patients with insufficient FLR, right-sided PVE was first performed, followed by percutaneous RFA to the tumor as a means to trigger FLR growth. When the FLR reached a safe level (at least 40%) and the blood biochemistry tests were in good condition, the hepatectomy was performed.

Objective: To detect the expression level of organic anion-transporting polypeptide 1B3 (OATP1B3) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and to determine the relationship between OATP1B3 expression, clinicopathological features, and prognosis.

Methods: Immunohistochemical (IHC) staining was performed to detect the expression of OATP1B3 in 131 HCC specimens and in 89 adjacent nontumorous tissues. Moreover, the expression levels of OATP1B3 in 30 pairs of tumor and matched adjacent nontumorous tissues were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, and 34 pairs of tumor and matched adjacent nontumorous tissues were detected by Western blotting.
