In this work an integrated electrode material based on the VS nanoparticles grow on three-dimensional network porous biochar is put forward, forming a heterostructure that significantly boost the rate and cycle performance in lithium batteries. Biochar derives from two-steps treatment removing partial cellulose and hemicellulose, possessing three-dimensional network porous structure and naturally nitrogenous. The integrated electrode material constructs the continuous electrons transfer network, accommodates the volume expansion and traps the polar polysulfides efficiently.

Mesopore usually helps to enhance the reaction kinetics and mass transfer, while the macroporous channel structure also affects the electrocatalyst. Traditional graphene materials do not have such structure.

However, little is known about decisional conflict in the choice of epidural labour analgesia amongst Chinese women.
Aim: This study aimed to investigate the level of and reasons underlying decisional conflict in Chinese women during their late pregnancy when making a decision on the use of epidural analgesia in labour.
Livestock manure is a main source of heavy metals, antibiotics and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in agricultural soils. The co-existence of heavy metals and ARGs needs to be systematically studied, since manure application is greatly encouraged. In this study, we examined soils for alterations in antibiotic resistance where doxycycline, Cu, and Zn were added equivalent to those found in typical pig manure applications.

Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the association of SUA with lumbar spine BMD in US adult males. A cross-sectional study was conducted based on the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES, 1999-2006) database.

In this study, we describe a highly sensitive and reusable silicon nanowire field-effect transistor for the detection of protein-protein interactions. This reusable device was made possible by the reversible association of glutathione S-transferase-tagged calmodulin with a glutathione modified transistor. The calmodulin-modified transistor exhibited selective electrical responses to Ca2+ (> or = 1 microM) and purified cardiac troponin I (approximately 7 nM); the change in conductivity displayed a linear dependence on the concentration of troponin I in a range from 10 nM to 1 microM.
