Objective: To compare the 5-year oncological outcomes of different adjuvant treatment modalities in patients with FIGO 2018 stage IA-IIA cervical adenocarcinoma who underwent open radical hysterectomy and one intermediate-risk pathological factor.
Methods: Based on the Four C database (between 2004 and 2018,n=63,926), patients with FIGO 2018 stage IA-IIA cervical adenocarcinoma and only one intermediate-risk pathological factor underwent open extensive hysterectomy. All patients were divided into three groups, namely, the simple surgery group (radical hysterectomy, RH), postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy group (radical hysterectomy and chemotherapy, RH + CT), and postoperative adjuvant chemoradiotherapy group (radical hysterectomy and radiotherapy/concurrent chemoradiotherapy, RH + RT/CCRT).
Alzheimer's disease (AD), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder, is associated with the complete loss of cognition, and its pathogenesis has been suggested to be closely linked to oxidative stress in the early stage. However, there is currently a lack of effective methods to provide direct evidence for dynamic development of the oxidative stress status during AD progression. Herein, through manipulating the multiple energy transfer between 4f electronic levels of lanthanide ions (Ln), we proposed an energy interception strategy to construct activatable NIR-IIb nanoprobe for visualizing oxidative stress level.

We previously reported the protective effect of VEGFR3 in salt-sensitive hypertension. However, the specific mechanism underlying the role of VEGFR3 in kidney during the overactivation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system remains unclear.

Mammalian SUMO specific peptidase 2 (SENP2) plays vital roles in a variety of biological procedures including the immune response. However, the effects of teleost SENP2 are still mostly unexplored. In this study, the SENP2 of black carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus) was cloned and characterized.

Furthermore, although previous studies have investigated potential function of HSC70 in innate antiviral immunity, further research is still required to fully elucidate its role. In this study, we cloned and characterized the HSC70 homolog gene from black carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus), which consists of 1950 nucleotides encoding 650 amino acids, migrates at approximately 71 kDa on SDS-PAGE, and is distributed in the cytoplasm.

Superoxide anion (O) is a highly reactive oxygen species (ROS) within tumor cells, and its abnormal concentrations can lead to various diseases such as cancer, inflammation, and premature aging disorders. Here, we obtained a series of bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) systems that can be used for sensitive and specific detection of O by varying the type and reaction time of quantum dots (QDs) and combining them with different concentrations of recombinant aequorin. Among them, the recombinant aequorin-conjugated CdTe/CdSe QDs had the highest conjugation efficiency as the Aeq-QD BRET sensor, which has a remarkable energy transfer efficiency of 35.

Alcohol use disorder (AUD) is a profound psychiatric condition marked by disrupted connectivity among distributed brain regions, indicating impaired functional integration. Previous connectome studies utilizing functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) have predominantly focused on undirected functional connectivity, while the specific alterations in directed effective connectivity (EC) associated with AUD remain unclear. To address this issue, this study utilized multivariate pattern analysis (MVPA) and spectral dynamic causal modeling (DCM).

Background: Internet gaming disorder (IGD) involves an imbalance in the brain's dual system, characterized by heightened reward seeking and diminished cognitive control, which lead to decision-making challenges. The exploration-exploitation strategy is key to decision making, but how IGD affects this process is unclear.
Methods: To investigate the impact of IGD on decision making, a modified version of the 2-armed bandit task was employed.

Introduction And Hypothesis: To compare 3D models based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and 3D models based on computed tomography (CT) in pelvimetry.
Methods: A retrospective analysis of 141 patients who underwent both pelvic 3D MRI and 3D CT pelvimetry for gynecological diseases from December 2009 to October 2020 was performed. The two pelvimetry methods were compared by paired Student's t test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Bland-Altman analysis and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC).
Salt-sensitivity hypertension (SSHTN) is an independent predictor for cardiovascular mortality. VEGFC has been reported to be a protective role in SSHTN and hypertensive kidney injury. However, the underlying mechanisms remain largely unclear.

We examined the internal iliac vein (IIV) configurations around the SP by computed tomography angiography (CTA) three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction to describe its anatomy and provide accurate anatomical parameters for relevant operations to reduce intraoperative vascular injury.
Methods: We retrospectively studied 2078 CTA 3D model datasets from Nanfang Hospital patients examined for gynecological diseases from December 2009 to October 2020.
Wide field of view and polarization imaging capabilities are crucial for implementation of advanced imaging devices. However, there are still great challenges in the integration of such optical systems. Here, we report a bionic compound eye metasurface that can realize full Stokes polarization imaging in a wide field of view.

Hydrogels based on nanocomposites (NC) structure have acquired a great deal of interest, but they are still limited by relatively low mechanical strength, inevitably losing elasticity when applied below subzero temperatures, due to the formation of ice crystallization. In this study, an anti-freezing and mechanically strong Laponite NC organohydrogel was prepared by a direct solvent replacement strategy of immersing Laponite NC pre-hydrogel into ethylene glycol (EG)/water mixture solution. In the organohydrogel, a part of water molecules was replaced by EG, which inhibited the formation of ice crystallization even at extremely low temperatures.

Insect compound eyes are optical systems with small volume and a compact structure. The ommatidia in the dorsal rim area of some insects have polarized vision, which can perceive the polarization pattern of the sky and provide them with navigation information. In this paper, inspired by the polarization-sensitive compound eyes of insects, a bio-inspired polarization navigation sensor based on artificial compound eyes is designed.

Unlike its predecessors, FUT possesses an acrylamide warhead, which enables it to bind covalently to a free cysteine residue in the FGFR kinase domain. However, it remains uninterrogated if this electrophilic α, -unsaturated carbonyl scaffold could also directly or indirectly engender off-target covalent binding to nucleophilic centers on other cellular proteins.

Clean energy transition has been considered as an indispensable way to attain sustainable development for China, where the coal-to-gas initiative plays a vital role towards the goal. This paper takes Beijing, China's political and economic center as well as a national pioneer in the energy transition, as a case to systematically analyze the co-mitigation of air pollution (PM) and carbon emissions (CO) achieved by the policy-driven natural gas-coal consumption substitution. Firstly, a qualitative analysis of the relationship of Beijing's coal-to-gas policies and its air quality has been conducted.

Longan () is a typical southern subtropical fruit tree species that is sensitive to cold stress. C-repeat binding factors (CBFs), as transcription factors, are crucial components involved in the molecular regulation of the plant response to cold stress. However, the role of CBF homologs in the cold response regulation of longan remains largely unknown.
