is by far the most salt-tolerant organism and contains many active substances, including β-carotene, glycerol, proteins, and vitamins, using in the production of dried biomass or cell extracts for the biofuels, pharmaceutical formulations, food additives, and fine chemicals, especially β-carotene. We report a high-quality genome sequence of FACHB435, which has a 472 Mb genome size, with a contig N50 of 458 Kb. A total of 30,752 protein-coding genes were predicted.

YAP/TAZ transcriptional co-activators play pivotal roles in tumorigenesis. In the Hippo pathway, diverse signals activate the MST-LATS kinase cascade that leads to YAP/TAZ phosphorylation, and subsequent ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation by SCF . When the MST-LATS kinase cascade is inactive, unphosphorylated or dephosphorylated YAP/TAZ translocate into the nucleus to mediate TEAD-dependent gene transcription.

Article Synopsis
  • A high-quality genome of goldfish has been sequenced, revealing its structure of 50 pseudochromosomes and the impact of over 1,000 years of domestication through selective breeding.* -
  • The study identified two subgenomes from an ancient hybridization and correlated genetic variations with specific anatomical features of goldfish varieties, including differences among traditional clades.* -
  • A candidate gene linked to the transparent mutant phenotype was discovered, positioning goldfish as a valuable model for researching functional genomics and the effects of domestication.*

Modern sugarcanes are polyploid interspecific hybrids, combining high sugar content from Saccharum officinarum with hardiness, disease resistance and ratooning of Saccharum spontaneum. Sequencing of a haploid S. spontaneum, AP85-441, facilitated the assembly of 32 pseudo-chromosomes comprising 8 homologous groups of 4 members each, bearing 35,525 genes with alleles defined.
