Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates how wearing an exoskeleton affects the thermal responses of male package handlers under different temperatures while performing lifting tasks and resting.
  • Wearing an exoskeleton during lifting tasks reduces metabolic heat production but increases mean skin temperature and thermal sensation, with heightened discomfort in warmer conditions (TEMP).
  • When at rest, the exoskeleton doesn't change metabolic rates, but it improves thermal comfort in colder temperatures (COLD); designers are urged to create usage strategies to optimize comfort depending on the working environment temperature.*

The ultrasonic phased array as an emerging interactive tool is increasingly used for aerial tactile interaction. However, there is almost no method to achieve remote variable force feedback through the ultrasonic phased array as far as we know. This article presents a force tactile feedback method for teleoperating robot systems that tracks the five fingers and forms a focus on the fingertips.

Doppler radar for monitoring vital signals is an emerging tool, and how to remove the noise during the detection process and reconstruct the accurate respiration and heartbeat signals are hot issues in current research. In this paper, a novel radar vital signal separation and de-noising technique based on improved complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (ICEEMDAN), sample entropy (SampEn), and wavelet threshold is proposed. First, the noisy radar signal was decomposed into a series of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) using ICEEMDAN.
