We summarize the chest CT manifestations and prognoses of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia combined with necrotizing pneumonia. We retrospectively analyzed the chest CT manifestations and prognoses of 155 cases of necrotizing pneumonia in children due to Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection and compared the differences in clinical features and laboratory indices between the group with unilateral monolobar necrosis of the lungs (Group A) and the group with unilateral multilobar and bilateral necrosis (Group B). The chest CT findings of the children in both groups revealed that the area of lung necrosis was confined to the unilateral monolobe in 124 children.

This study aims to investigate the predictive value of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and lymphocyte subsets for death in children with influenza-associated encephalopathy (IAE). This study included 76 children with IAE who were divided into a death group and a survival group. The differences in the levels of IL-6 and lymphocyte subsets between the two groups were analyzed, and the predictive value of these two parameters was compared by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis.

Article Synopsis
  • Pulmonary embolism is a serious but uncommon complication in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia, which can result in severe outcomes or death.
  • A study analyzed data from 207 children with this condition, dividing them into two groups: those with pulmonary embolism and those without.

Objective: Development of a nomogram model for predicting the magnitude of risk of transferring hospitalized children with influenza to the ICU.

Methods: In a single-center retrospective study, 318 children with influenza who were hospitalized in our hospital from January 2018 to August 2023 were collected as study subjects. Children with influenza were randomly assigned to the training set and validation set in a ratio of 4:1.
