Minimally invasive surgical removal of bilateral impacted mandibular supernumerary teeth using 3D surgical guide template: a case report.

Impacted supernumerary teeth are defined as the presence of one or more teeth in a patient's upper and lower jaws in addition to the normal number of teeth in the dental arch. It has an incidence rate of approximately 1%-14% and more frequently occurs in males than females, may be single or multiple, unilateral or bilateral, erupted or impacted. In this article, we describe the case of a patient with two supernumerary teeth between the roots of the mandibular second premolar and the first molar, which influenced the effectiveness of the first orthodontic treatment.

The Association of Social Isolation With the Risk of Stroke Among Middle-Aged and Older Adults in China.

Given that there is limited research examining the specific role social isolation plays in stroke risk, we aimed to estimate the controlled direct effect of social isolation on stroke risk in China. A nationally representative sample (n = 12,662) of persons aged 45 years or more at baseline (2011), with corresponding follow-ups in 2013 and 2015, was taken from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study. Stroke was assessed through a self- or proxy-reported physician's diagnosis.

A Longitudinal Analysis of the Association Between Living Arrangements and Health Among Older Adults in China.

This article used the nationally representative Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey to explore the associations between living arrangements and health among older adults. Living arrangements were stratified into six categories. Health was measured by self-rated health, activities of daily living (ADL) disability, and cognitive impairment.
