This study investigates how food media exposure influenced unhealthy eating habits among older adults during the COVID-19 lockdown in Shanghai, focusing on the roles of negative emotions, food literacy, health consciousness, and eating self-efficacy. The random sample comprised 400 individuals aged ≥50 years who lived in Shanghai from March to June 2022.

Rationale: Retroperitoneal benign cysts during pregnancy are extremely rare and often remain asymptomatic until they attain a very large size. Diagnosis typically relies on a pathological tissue biopsy. The decision to pursue 1-step or 2-step surgical treatment should be tailored to each individual case rather than generalized.

This study examines the empirical evidence from China, utilizing quasi-experimental approaches to assess the causal effect of chronic disease diagnoses on smoking behavior.
Methods: Employing the diagnosis of chronic disease in the older cohorts of the population as a natural experiment, this study utilizes recent advancements in difference-in-difference estimation methods (CS-DID) to investigate the effect of a diagnosis on smoking behavior.
Objective: There have been limited reports on the duration of labor progression in pregnant women undergoing vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). This study aimed to investigate the duration of labor progression during VBAC in Hubei, China.
Methods: A total of 359 pregnant women undergoing VBAC were enrolled as the VBAC group, meeting the following criteria: singleton pregnancy, gestational age ≥ 37 weeks, live birth, history of cesarean delivery, and a willingness to attempt a vaginal delivery.
Background: The mechanism underlying maternal fever and prolonged labor progression associated with neuraxial analgesia (NA) remains elusive, raising concerns among certain pregnant women regarding the application of NA during vaginal delivery. This study aimed to investigate the impact of early and late NA on maternal and neonatal outcomes in multiparous women.
Methods: This retrospective study collected data from 1119 multiparous women with singleton pregnancies, full term and live births at our labor and delivery center between August 1st, 2021 and July 31st, 2022.

With the development of modern sequencing techniques and bioinformatics, genomes that were once thought to be noncoding have been found to encode abundant functional micropeptides (miPs), a kind of small polypeptides. Although miPs are difficult to analyze and identify, a number of studies have begun to focus on them. More and more miPs have been revealed as essential for energy metabolism homeostasis, immune regulation, and tumor growth and development.

They are increasingly moving away from conventional methods of seeking health information as technology advances quickly and becomes more widely available, resulting in a more digitalized health care system. Similar to all groups, Generation Z has specific health care requirements and preferences, and their use of technology influences how they look for health information.

A total of 80 patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into control and experimental groups, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine cluster care, which included providing individual and group health information through the distribution of health education manuals to hypertensive patients during pregnancy and their families.

This is a cross-sectional survey on Chinese mothers receiving CS. The participants's socio-demographic characteristics, perioperative diet, medical condition and gastrointestinal function after surgery were collected by a self-designed questionnaire.

These drugs are typically available in liquid formulations to aid in dosing for children who cannot swallow tablets. However, the strong bitter taste associated with these medications can be a significant obstacle to adherence, particularly in young children, and can jeopardize the effectiveness of the treatment.

Methods: A reliable random split-sample approach was used to divide patients into two groups: modeling and validation cohorts.
Background: Understanding factors that influence healthy or unhealthy eating can inform intervention strategies. This study ascertained whether and how unintentional exposure to food and nutrition information influenced healthy eating concerns. The study tested body comparison, body satisfaction, and body mass index as three mechanisms that potentially link food information encounter, commonly known as information scanning, to healthy eating concerns.

However, sRNAs from nonmodel microorganisms, extremophiles in particular, have been rarely explored. We discovered a putative sRNA, termed Pf1 sRNA, in Pseudoalteromonas fuliginea BSW20308 isolated from the polar regions in our previous work.

However, to date, how electronic energy damp to lattice vibrations (phonons) in MXenes has not been unraveled. Here, we employed ultrafast broadband impulsive vibrational spectroscopy to identify the energy damping channels in MXenes (TiCT and MoCT).
