Histone 3 Lysine 4 (H3K4) demethylation is ubiquitous in organisms, however the roles of H3K4 demethylase JARID1(Jar1)/KDM5 in fungal development and pathogenesis remain largely unexplored. Here, we demonstrate that Jar1/KDM5 in Botrytis cinerea, the grey mould fungus, plays a crucial role in these processes. U2 auxiliary factor 1 (U2AF1) functions in 3'-splice site selection during pre-mRNA processing. Alternative usage of duplicated tandem exons in U2AF1 produces two isoforms, U2AF1a and U2AF1b, but their functional differences are unappreciated due to their homology. Through integrative approaches of genome editing, customized-transcriptome profiling and crosslinking-mediated interactome analyses, we discovered that the expression of U2AF1 isoforms is controlled by mTOR and they exhibit a distinctive molecular profile for the splice site and protein interactomes.

To further investigate the application of positron emission tomography (PET) technology in acupuncture research field, with "PET" and "acupuncture" as keywords, the related literature published from 1997 to 2018 was searched in PubMed, CNKI and WANFANG database; then the literature was classified and analyzed. The results showed that in clinical and experimental studies, whether in physiological or pathological conditions, PET technology has verified the specificity of acupoints, bidirectional regulation of acupoints, and the clinical effect of -arrival from the level of brain functional activity. It has deeply revealed the central mechanism underlying that acupuncture has multi-target, multi-channel and multi-level overall effects.

The reported metal-organic framework (MOF) catalyst realizes CO to methanol transformation under ambient conditions. The MOF is one rare example containing metal-free N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) moieties, which are installed using an in situ generation strategy involving the incorporation of an imidazolium bromide based linker into the MOF by postsynthetic ligand exchange. Importantly, the resultant NHC-functionalized MOF is the first catalyst capable of performing quantitative hydrogen transfer from silanes to CO , thus achieving quantitative (>99 %) methanol yield.

Cellulose extracted from cornstalk was liquefied in supercritical organic solvents at different liquefaction parameters. Different organic solvents (methanol, ethanol and acetone) were used to disintegrate cellulose at different temperatures (240, 260, 280, 300 and 320 °C), reaction time (0, 30, 60, 90 and 120 min) and solvents dosage (0, 80, 120, 160 and 200 mL). The results showed that similar liquefaction characteristics of cellulose were observed in three different solvents.
