Methods: In this retrospective study, we included 510 patients with coronary heart disease, diabetes, and renal insufficiency who received PCI at the Third People's Hospital of Chengdu from July 2018 to December 2020. Patients were divided into three groups based on their eGFR levels: 113 patients with eGFR ≥ 60 mL/min/1.
Introduction: Digital therapeutics have been approved as a treatment aid for various medical conditions and are increasingly prevalent. Despite numerous studies on the potential of digital therapeutic interventions in preventing gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), there is a critical need for more high-quality, large-scale studies to validate their effectiveness. This need arises from the inconsistencies in results and variations in the quality of previous research.

We aimed to investigate the associations between residential greenness and obesity phenotypes and the mediation effects of air pollutants and physical activity (PA) level on the associations.
Methods: We used the baseline of the China Multi-Ethnic Cohort (CMEC) study, which enrolled 87,613 adults.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the combined efficacy of hyperthermia and chemotherapy using a bladder cancer organoid model and to explore hyperthermia-related molecular pathways.
Method: Tumor organoids were generated by embedding RT4 bladder cancer cells into Matrigel. The resulting organoids were treated with pirarubicin or gemcitabine at 37 °C or 42 °C.
Background: The association between pretreatment systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and long-term survival among Chinese esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients who received radical radiotherapy remains unclear. The aim of this study was to identify the prognostic role of pretreatment SII in Chinese ESCC patients receiving radical radiotherapy based on current evidence.
Methods: The PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science and CNKI databases were searched up to March 18, 2023.
Background: Remote ischemic preconditioning (RIPC) has cardioprotective effects. This study was designed to evaluate the effectiveness and potential influencing factors of RIPC for myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) in rats and mice.
Methods: The PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases were searched to identify animal model studies that explored the effect of RIPC on MIRI.
Background: General anesthesia in critically ill patients is associated with increased risk of complications. Nerve block anesthesia is an alternative, but could be challenging in cases with surgical field that involves multiple dermatomes.
Case Summary: We report resection of a giant lipoma in the left shoulder and upper back under supraclavicular brachial plexus block plus T3-4 paravertebral block in an older patient with severe asthma.
Mere15, an anticancer polypeptide with a molecular weight of 15 kDa, is extracted from the marine species Meretrix meretrix. A previous study in our laboratory has confirmed that Mere15 displays a potent antitumor activity. However, the underlying mechanism of Mere15 still remains unclear.

Among all lung cancer cases, lung adenocarcinoma (LAC) represents nearly 40% and remains the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. Although the combination therapy of surgical treatment with radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, has been used to treat LAC, unfortunately, high recurrence rates and poor survival remain. Therefore, novel prognostic markers and new targets for molecular targeted therapy in LAC is urgently needed.

Background: The association between allogeneic blood transfusion and healthcare-associated infection (HAI) is considered dose-dependent. However, this association may be confounded by transfusion duration, as prolonged hospitalization stay increases the risk of HAI. Also, it is not clear whether specific blood products have different dose-response risks.

Neuroprotection conferred by histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors against various insults and deficits in the central nervous system has been reported previously. Herein, we set out to ascertain whether HDAC3 inhibition exerts neuroprotective effects against SCI.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LAC) represents approximately 40% of all lung cancer cases and is the leading cause of cancer-associated mortality worldwide. Although combined treatment, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical treatment and immunotherapy, has been used in treating LAC, the five-year survival rate of patients with LAC has not significantly improved. Therefore, it is vital for cancer research to investigate novel prognostic markers and new targets for molecular targeted therapy in LAC.

Methods: Volatile profiles of white tea leaf samples from their main origins in China (Fuding City, Zhenghe City and Jianyang City) were analyzed using proton transfer reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometry (PTR-TOFMS).
Background: Central post-stroke pain (CPSP) is refractory to pharmacotherapy (eg, NSAIDs, opioids, antidepressants, and anticonvulsants), and may require transcranial or deep brain stimulation.
Case Presentation: A 67-year-old woman presented with severe paroxysmal cramp-like pain on the right side, including the head and both upper and lower extremities. The pain started 5 years earlier, was initially mild and occasional, but gradually intensified to an unbearable degree with an average of 10-15 daily episodes, each lasting for 5-10 mins.
Background: The respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the main cause of bronchiolitis in infants and interferon (IFN) α is a commercial antiviral drug. The nebulization of IFN α1b could be a viable treatment method. In this study, the therapeutic effects and safety of IFN α1b delivery via nebulization in infant bronchiolitis were investigated in this multi-center prospective study.

Methods: The clinical data of 36 patients treated with retrievable IVC filters from January 2016 to November 2018 were retrospectively collected.
Objective: To develop a gastric cancer (GC) risk prediction rule as an initial prescreening tool to identify individuals with a high risk prior to gastroscopy.
Design: This was a nationwide multicentre cross-sectional study. Individuals aged 40-80 years who went to hospitals for a GC screening gastroscopy were recruited.
LncRNA colon-cancer-associated transcript-1 (CCAT1) was proved to be a potential prognostic biomarker for breast cancer progression. However, the role of CCAT1 in regulating radiosensitivity of breast cancer and its underlying mechanism have not been investigated. The present study showed that CCAT1 was up-regulated and miR-148b was down-regulated in radioresistant breast cancer tissues compared with radiosensitive breast cancer tissues.

Studies have demonstrated that blocking the Rho/Rho-kinase (ROCK) pathway can promote neurite outgrowth in spinal cord injury models. In the present study, we investigated neurite outgrowth and neuronal differentiation in neural stem cells from the mouse subventricular zone after inhibition of ROCK in vitro.
