Cyclin D3 (CCND3), a member of the cyclin D family, is known to promote cell cycle transition. In this study, we found that CCND3 was downregulated in cisplatin-resistant (-diamminedichloroplatinum, DDP) lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) cells. The loss of CCND3 indeed impeded cell cycle transition.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study focuses on miR-2110, a microRNA identified in Epstein-Barr virus-positive nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), and its role in suppressing NPC metastasis through various molecular mechanisms.
  • - Researchers found that increasing miR-2110 levels reduced NPC cell migration, invasion, and metastasis by targeting and lowering the protein FGFR1, which in turn stabilized PTEN and inhibited signaling pathways that promote metastasis.
  • - Cinobufotalin (CB), a potential treatment, was shown to enhance miR-2110 expression, further contributing to the inhibition of NPC metastasis, while lower levels of miR-2110 were associated with worse outcomes in patients' lymph node metastasis

Background: LINC00173 had been reported as a cisplatin (cis-diamminedichloroplatinum, DDP) chemotherapy-resistant inducer in small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) and lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC). This study aimed to display reverse data for LINC00173 as a DDP chemosensitivity-inducing factor in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD).

Methods: LINC00173 was screened from the Gene Expression Omnibus database (GSE43493).
