Objectives: To evaluate its effect of an evidence-based nursing program for nasal irrigation after endoscopic sinus surgery in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS).

Methods: A total of 66 patients with CRS were randomly divided into two groups, for which the experimental group received evidence-based nasal irrigation nursing, and the control group received conventional nursing. Differences in Sino-Nasal Outcome Test-20 (SNOT-20), visual analogue scale (VAS), Lund-Mackay CT, Endoscopic Lund Kennedy Score (LKES) and overall efficacy were assessed between the two groups.

Hard carbon is a promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) due to its abundance. However, it exhibits low reversible capacity and slow kinetics if inappropriate microstructural features are developed during synthesis. Herein, N/S co-doped phenolic resin-based hard carbon microspheres are prepared by a scalable strategy, and the electrochemical performance is assessed both in half cells and full cells.

The difference in power demand and the driver's operation in various operation stages make the loader have the problem of low energy utilization. Changeable operating objects and drastically changing loads have exacerbated the difficulty of energy-saving research in different operating stages of loaders. Therefore, based on identifying the operation stage and analyzing the load characteristics under typical working conditions of the loader, this paper proposes a shovel-loading cooperative control strategy.

Background: Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) has affected millions of people worldwide and dramatically affects human beings' quality of life. Observational studies hypothesize that metabolites play key roles as markers and effectors of IVDD, but their causality has not yet been illustrated.

Methods: We conducted comprehensive Mendelian randomization (MR) to determine the causal relationship between 249 plasma metabolites and IVDD.

Network pharmacology, reverse molecular docking, and rat acute pancreatitis (AP) models were used to analyze the mechanism of protection by Qingyi II granules. The chemical components of 7 Chinese herbal medicines in Qingyi II granules were searched through the TCMSP (traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology database and analysis platform) database. The active ingredients were screened out in the OB (oral bioavailability) and DL (drug likeness) filters as a condition for inclusion.

Six lactone derivatives, including four α-pyrones derivatives (1-4), two α-furanone derivatives (5 and 6), were isolated from the Dendrobium pendulum. Structural elucidation of these undescribed lactone derivatives were accomplished on the basis of detailed nuclear magnetic resonance analysis, and the absolute configurations of compounds 1-4 were confirmed by electronic circular dichroism (ECD) techniques. The cytotoxic effects of isolated compounds on human breast cancer cell MDA-MB-231 were evaluated by the MTT assay.

SnOhas attracted extensive research attentions as a promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) due to its high theoretical capacity. However, its application is largely hindered by sluggish sodium ion diffusion and drastic volume change during the conversion reaction and alloying process. Herein, ultra-fine SnOnanocrystals (3-5 nm) anchored on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) is demonstrated as a promising anode material for SIBs.

Objective: Neurocognitive dysfunction is thought to be one of the core clinical features of schizophrenia, and older adults with schizophrenia exhibited greater overall cognitive deficits than younger adults. The aim of this systematic review was to examine the neurocognitive effects of intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS) as an adjunctive treatment for older adults suffering from schizophrenia.

Methods: Randomized double-blinded controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the neurocognitive effects of adjunctive active iTBS versus sham iTBS in older adults with schizophrenia were systematically identified by independent investigators searching Chinese and English databases.

Changes in the amount and timing of precipitation may affect plant species coexistence. However, little is known about how these changes in precipitation structure plant communities. Here, we conducted a 6-year field precipitation manipulation experiment in the semi-arid steppe of Inner Mongolia, China, to assess the importance of species extinction and colonization in community assembly by incorporating information on phylogenetic and functional relatedness.

The development of WS as an anode for potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) is severely confined by the low K storage capacity and poor intrinsic electrical conductivity. Our previous study demonstrated that the creation of sulfur vacancies (V) in WS can enhance its K storage capability. However, it is a big challenge to keep the stability of V while reserving the excellent activity.

Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries show great potential in future electric transportation and large-scale grid storage applications because of their attractive theoretical energy density (2600 W h kg) and relatively abundant sulfur reserves. However, the rapid capacity decay and unsatisfactory sulfur loading caused by the lithium polysulphide (LiPS) dissolution and low electrical conductivity of sulfur are the most urgent issues plaguing its practical applications. Herein, we report a multifunctional nanoporous (NP) VN/VO binary host that can efficiently resolve the above conflicts by the synergy between the functions of two materials.

ZnSe has got extensive attention for high-performance LIBs anode due to its remarkable theoretical capacity and environmental friendliness. Nevertheless, the large volume variation for the ZnSe in the discharge/charge processes brings about rapid capacity fading and poor rate performance. Herein, ZnSe/C hollow polyhedrons are successfully synthesized by selenization of zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) with resorcinol-formaldehyde (RF) coating.
