Objective: To delineate the association between sleep characteristics and renal function in peri-post menopause free of Chronic kidney disease (CKD) as well as cardiometabolic and hormone indicators.

Methods: Cross-sectional data from a total of 823 Han-Chinese women aged 40-67 years who visited the Menopause Clinic in the Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital from November 2011 to November 2020 were analyzed through the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and serum cystatin C (Cys-C). Logistic regression models were used to assess the association between cumulative/each sleep parameter and renal function after adjusting for cardiometabolic variables.

Objective: Wolffian adnexal tumors (WATs) are rare, and metastasis is uncommon. We present the case of a 53-year-old female with a recurrent WAT.

Case Report: The patient presented with abdominal distension, and ultrasound revealed heterogeneous echoes (130 × 93 × 116 mm) around the uterus and ascites.

Aim: The aim of these investigations was to study the role of gefitinib (a specific oral epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitor) on reversing progestin-resistance in a human endometrial carcinoma xenograft model.

Material And Methods: To study the effect of gefitinib and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) overexpression on tumor progestin resistance, the Ishikawa endometrial carcinoma cell line was transfected to stably express a high level of EGFR, which resulted in the progestin-resistant Ishikawa-pLWERNL subcell line. BALB/c nude mice were injected subcutaneously with the parental Ishikawa cell line and the Ishikawa-pLWERNL cell line.

Background: Fertility-sparing management is an important treatment for young women who have endometrial carcinoma (EC). Many patients with EC exhibit insensitivity or resistance to progestin therapy, and the molecular mechanisms of that insensitivity and resistance have been elusive. Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) overexpression has been observed in EC, but the roles of EGFR in progestin resistance have not been investigated.

Aim: The normal microbiota plays an important role in maintaining the vaginal health of women. The aim of this study was to characterize the numerically dominant populations of vaginal microbial communities in Chinese women.

Methods: Genomic DNA was isolated from samples of vaginal swabs of five healthy women, 16S ribosomal ribonucleic acid libraries were constructed and the sequences of 300 clones from each library were determined and subjected to phylogenetic analyses.
