This paper presents a modularized reconfigurable functional electromagnetic surface (MRFES) for broadband absorption and polarization conversion by using tightly coupled dipole antennas (TCDA) and back-loaded radio frequency (RF) circuits (BLRFC). A dual-polarized antenna array with tight coupling and wide angular scanning characteristics is designed. By loading different RF circuits on the back side of the antenna array's ground plane, switchable broadband absorption and polarization conversion functions are achieved.

It is currently widely recognized that an excessive inflammatory response resulting from immune imbalance constitutes a crucial pathogenic mechanism in ALI/ARDS. SS31 is a novel mitochondria-targeted antioxidant peptide.

However, the underlying reasons for the development of polydactyly remain unclear. To search for polydactyly-related genes, we utilize a paternal half-sib family and screen for variants that match the mode of inheritance.

The liver, the largest internal organ in the human body, regulates multiple reactions and processes, including detoxification, regeneration, and immune defense. Liver diseases have emerged as a significant global public health issue. Numerous studies have indicated that the mitochondrial deacetylase SIRT3 has played various roles in the pathogenesis and pathological progression of liver diseases.

Plant polysaccharides have been demonstrated to possess a range of beneficial pharmacological effects. This experiment was designed to elucidate the mechanisms of dietary Taraxacum mongolicum polysaccharides involved in the regulation of obesity and fat browning.

As is well-known, the utmost crucial risk factor contributing to lung cancer is smoking. In recent years, remarkable progress has been made in treating lung cancer, particularly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

In this study, we systematically explored the effects and mechanism of action of NMN in HCM using network pharmacology and molecular docking.
Methods: Active targets of NMN were obtained from SWISS, CNKI, PubMed, DrugBank, BingingDB, and ZINC databases.
The demodulation phase error will cause the quadrature error to be coupled to the rate output, resulting in performance deterioration of the MEMS gyroscope. To solve this problem, an in-run automatic demodulation phase error compensation method is proposed in this paper. This method applies square wave angular rate input to the gyroscope and automatically identifies the value of the demodulation phase error through the designed automatic identification algorithm.

Due to the increasing number of patients, how to expand the number of donor organs and enhance immune compatibility has become an urgent problem to be solved at this stage. Although current immunosuppression is effective, its side effects are also quite obvious, such as opportunistic infections and malignant tumors.

Methods: Cartilage samples from patients with KBD (n = 10) and patients with OA (n = 10) were collected during total knee arthroplasty surgery.

Purpose: This study investigated the dynamic changes in circulating immune cells following immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), and interventional therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Methods: HCC patients undergoing transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), TKI, and ICI treatment were included in the treatment group. Peripheral blood samples were collected from these patients before each cycle of PD-1 blockade treatment.

Copper plays vital roles in numerous cellular processes and its imbalance can lead to oxidative stress and dysfunction. Recent research has unveiled a unique form of copper-induced cell death, termed cuproptosis, which differs from known cell death mechanisms. This process involves the interaction of copper with lipoylated tricarboxylic acid cycle enzymes, causing protein aggregation and cell death.

Some circular RNAs (circRNAs) are enriched in cancer cell-derived exosomes, but little is known about their ability to regulate intercellular communication and cancer metastasis. Here, by systematically analyzing exosomes secreted by non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells, a hypoxia-induced exosomal circPLEKHM1 is identified that drives NSCLC metastasis through polarizing macrophages toward to M2 type.

Combination therapy with a transforming growth factor-β receptor (TGF-βR) inhibitor that targets cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) is promising for the enhancement of efficacy of immunotherapies. However, the effect of this approach in clinical trials is limited, requiring in vivo methods to better assess tumor responses to combination therapy.

Although these methods help to improve the condition, most tumors still have a poor prognosis. In recent years, immunotherapy has great potential in tumor treatment.

However, studies on focal adhesion-related genes (FARGs) in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) are limited.
Methods: Data on HNSCC samples were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas and GSE41613 datasets, and 199 FARGs were obtained from the Molecular Signatures database.
