The domains rearranged methyltransferases (DRMs) play a critical role in the RNA-directed DNA methylation (RdDM) pathway in plants. However, the effects of inactivating the RdDM pathway on gene expression, transposable element (TE) activity, and phenotype in soybean remain unexplored. Here, we employed clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9 gene editing to generate a quintuple mutant line in soybean (Gmdrm2a2b2c3a3b, designated Gmdrm).

Non-CG DNA methylation, a plant-specific epigenetic mark mainly regulated by chromomethylase (CMT), is known to play important roles in . However, whether and to what extent non-CG DNA methylation modulates agronomic traits in crops remain to be explored. Here, we describe the consequences of non-CG DNA hypomethylation on development, seed composition, and yield in soybean ().

The promotion effect of titania nanoparticles (nano-TiO(2)) on the direct electron transfer between lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and the silica sol-gel modified gold electrode was investigated by adding nano-TiO(2) (50 nm) in the modification process. This nano-TiO(2)-LDH electrode showed a pair of quasi-reversible cyclic voltammetry peaks with the formal potential of 70 mV (vs. SCE).
