Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates how ginsenoside Rg1 could potentially impact Alzheimer's disease (AD) by analyzing its targets and signaling pathways using network pharmacology.
  • It identifies common targets between ginsenoside Rg1 and amyloid precursor protein (APP), using various databases, and explores their interactions through tools like Cytoscape.
  • The findings suggest that ginsenoside Rg1 operates on specific pathways (like EGFR and FoxO) to modulate protein metabolism, highlighting its potential to alleviate AD symptoms by influencing APP-related processes and ferroptosis.

Mercuric chloride (HgCl) is a widely distributed environmental pollutant with multiorgan toxicity including immune organs such as spleen. Selenium (Se) is an essential trace element in animal nutrition and exerts biological activity to antagonize organ toxicity caused by heavy metals. The objective of this study was to explore the underlying mechanism of the protective effects of Se against spleen damage caused by HgCl in chicken.
