Influence of myosteatosis on survival of patients with pancreatic cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

The present meta-analysis aims to evaluate the impact of myosteatosis on overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with pancreatic cancer (PC). A comprehensive literature search was conducted in the Medline, Web of Science, and Embase databases. The hazard ratio (HR) and corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI) for the association between myosteatosis and survival outcomes were pooled using a random-effects model.

Serum Cytokeratin-18 levels as a prognostic biomarker in advanced liver disease: a comprehensive meta-analysis.

Cytokeratin-18 (CK-18) is a marker of hepatic cell death. Serum CK-18 could serve as a prognostic marker for patients with advanced liver disease (ALD). This meta-analysis aims to explore the association between total CK-18 (M65) and caspase-cleaved CK-18 (M30) levels with the prognosis of ALD patients.
