Single-molecule dual F magnetic resonance imaging (F MRI) and fluorescence imaging (FLI) agents are valuable tools in biomedical research. However, integrating millimolar-sensitivity F MRI and micromolar-sensitivity FLI into a single molecule remains challenging. Here, we report the use of mechanically interlocked [5]rotaxanes to efficiently incorporate 144 symmetrical fluorines (F) for sensitive F MRI and to control the motion of tetraphenylethylene (TPE) for responsive FLI at the molecular level, yielding a dual imaging agent with micromolar sensitivity.

Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-2 (TREM2) is a cell surface receptor, majorly expressed by granulocytes, monocytes and macrophages. We in this study showed that TREM2 was downregulated in the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated macrophages and murine acute lung injury (ALI) through activation of p38 MAPK and STAT6 signaling. Over-expression of TREM2 reduced the expression of DNAX-activation protein 12 (DAP12), pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β), Malondialdehyde (MDA) and hemosiderin accumulation in LPS-treated macrophages.

Purpose: This study assessed the characteristics of refractive development and choroidal vasculature in the form-deprivation (FD) pigmented rabbit model.
Methods: Monocular FD was performed in three-week-old pigmented rabbits (n = 18 for FD, n = 12 for control). Throughout the eight-week rearing period, refractive errors, corneal curvature radius (CCR), ocular biometric parameters, retinal thickness (RT), and choroidal thickness (ChT) were measured every two weeks using cycloplegic retinoscopy, keratometer, A-scan ultrasonography, and optical coherence tomography (OCT).

Background: This study explored whether the cell cycle regulator cadherin 1 (CDH1) impacts colorectal cancer cell cycle and stemness via mediating ubiquitination of sirtuin 5 (SIRT5).
Methods: We first constructed CDH1 overexpression plasmid and small interfering RNA against SIRT5 (siSIRT5) and transfected them into HCT116/HT29 cells, followed by transfection efficiency verification. The effect of CDH1 on Cyclin F/SIRT5/CDH1 protein levels in HCT116/HT29 cells was verified by Western blot.

Background: Mechanisms driving the development of type A aortic dissection (TAD) are currently poorly understood, and animal models of spontaneous TAD are limited. In the present study, we developed a novel mouse TAD model and evaluated the role of GSDMD (gasdermin D) in TAD development.
Methods: TADs were created by treating the ascending aorta of adult C57BL/6J mice with Act E (active elastase) and β-aminopropionitrile.
Background: This study investigates the joint effect of sleep patterns and oxidative balance score (OBS) on all-cause and CVD mortality in the general population.
Methods: We examined 21,427 individuals aged 18-85 from NHANES 2005-2014, connecting them to mortality data until December 31, 2019, using interview and physical examination dates. Surveys collected data on sleep duration, self-reported sleep disturbance, and doctor-told sleep disorders, classified into healthy, intermediate, and unhealthy sleep patterns.
Purpose: To assess the predictive value of radiomics features extracted from structural MRI, dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE), and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in detecting O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter methylation in patients with diffuse gliomas.
Methods: Retrospective MRI data of 110 patients were enrolled in this study. The training dataset included 88 patients (mean age 52.
Tilting pad thrust bearings are widely utilized in large rotating machinery such as steam turbines and hydraulic turbines. Defects in their shaft tiles directly impact lubrication characteristics, thereby influencing the overall safety performance of the entire unit. To address this issue, this paper presents a fault diagnosis method for tilting pad thrust bearings using a modified multi-feature fused convolutional neural network (MMFCNN).
