Schizophrenia is a disease with a complex pathological mechanism that is influenced by multiple genes. The study of its pathogenesis is dominated by the dopamine hypothesis, as well as other hypotheses such as the 5-hydroxytryptamine hypothesis, glutamate hypothesis, immune-inflammatory hypothesis, gene expression abnormality hypothesis, and neurodevelopmental abnormality hypothesis. The first generation of antipsychotics was developed based on dopaminergic receptor antagonism, which blocks dopamine D2 receptors in the brain to exert antipsychotic effects.

As confirmed cases of COVID-19 spread rapidly, there is evidence that SARS-CoV-2 infection involves the central nervous system (CNS) and peripheral nervous system (PNS), directly or indirectly damaging neurons and further leading to neurodegenerative diseases (ND), but the molecular mechanisms of ND and CVOID-19 are unknown.

Effectiveness and safety of Baduanjin for schizophrenia: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.

Effectiveness of acupuncture in postpartum depression: A protocol for an overview of systematic reviews.

Introduction: Since conflicting evidence from systematic reviews and meta-analyses (SRs/MAs) on the effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of postpartum depression is observed. To systematically collate, appraise and synthesize the evidence from these SRs/MAs, an overview will be performed, and this study is an overview protocol.

Methods And Analysis: Eight databases will be searched: Medicine, Web of science, Cochrane Library, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, SinoMed, VIP, and Wanfang Data.
