Objective: Most bladder cancers are nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), and transurethral resection of bladder tumors (TURBT) is the standard treatment. However, postoperative recurrence remains a significant challenge, and the influence of bladder tumor location on prognosis is still unclear. This study aims to investigate how tumor location affects the prognosis of NMIBC patients undergoing TURBT and to identify the optimal surgical approach.

We subtyped bladder cancer (BC) patients based on the expression patterns of endothelial cell (EC) -related genes and constructed a diagnostic signature and an endothelial cell prognostic index (ECPI), which are useful for diagnosing BC patients, predicting the prognosis of BC and evaluating drug sensitivity. Differentially expressed genes in ECs were obtained from the Tumour Immune Single-Cell Hub database. Subsequently, a diagnostic signature, a tumour subtyping system and an ECPI were constructed using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas and Gene Expression Omnibus.

Severe acute pancreatitis (AP) is associated with a high mortality rate. Cold-inducible RNA binding protein (CIRP) can be released from cells in inflammatory conditions and extracellular CIRP acts as a damage-associated molecular pattern. This study aims to explore the role of CIRP in the pathogenesis of AP and evaluate the therapeutic potential of targeting extracellular CIRP with X-aptamers.

Background: Second-generation androgen receptor inhibitors (ARIs) have been developed and approved for treating castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). There is a lack of direct comparison of the therapeutic effects and adverse events between the conventional ARI (bicalutamide) and three second-generation ARIs (enzalutamide, apalutamide and darolutamide).

Methods: Our network meta-analysis evaluated therapeutic effects and adverse events of the conventional ARI (bicalutamide) and the second-generation ARIs in treating CRPC.

Heat shock proteins (HSPs) depletion and protein misfolding are important causes of hepatocyte death and liver regeneration disorder in liver injury. HSF2BP, as its name implies, is a binding protein of HSF2, but the specific role of HSF2BP in heat shock response (HSR) remains unknown. The aim of this study is to identify the role of HSF2BP in HSR and acute liver injury.

Indolethylamine-N-methyltransferase (INMT) is a methyltransferase downregulated in lung cancer, meningioma, and prostate cancer; however, its role and mechanism in prostate cancer remain unclear. By analyzing The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA)-PRAD, we found that the expression of INMT in prostate cancer was lower than that of adjacent non-cancerous prostate tissues and was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis Gleason score, PSA expression, and survival. Combined with the GSE46602 cohorts for pathway enrichment analysis, we found that INMT was involved in regulating the MAPK, TGFβ, and Wnt signaling pathways.
