The parts-per-billion-level nitric oxide (NO) gas sensing capability of a copper-ion-doped polyaniline/tungsten oxide nanocomposite (Cu(2+)/PANI/WO3) film coated on a Rayleigh surface acoustic wave device was investigated. The sensor developed in this study was sensitive to NO gas at room temperature in dry nitrogen. The surface morphology, dopant distribution, and electric properties were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy mapping, and Hall effect measurements, respectively.

The complete mitochondrial genome sequence of the hybrid of Ctenopharyngodon idella (♀) × Squaliobarbus curriculus (♂) was determined using PCR-based method. The total length of the mitogenome is 16,609 bp. It contains the typical structure as that of most other vertebrates, including 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and 1 non-coding control region (D-loop region).

Correlated literatures of the liver injury induced by glucoside tripterygium total (GTT) and of its synergism and toxicity reducing effects were retrieved to study the correlation between the dosage, the time point of GTT and the liver injury. The monomer or active ingredients of animals and plants with the hepatoprotective effect were included. The mechanisms of action between GTT and these drugs were analyzed.

Aim: To investigate the regulation of phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten (PTEN) gene expression in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell lines.

Methods: The mRNA and protein levels of PTEN were detected by Northern blot and Western blot in HCC cell lines, respectively. Plasmids containing different fragments of PTEN promoter with Luciferase reporter were constructed and transiently transfected into HCC cell lines to study the promoter activity.
