Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are a promising melanocyte source as they propagate indefinitely and can be established from patients. However, the in vivo functions of human iPSC-derived melanocytes (hiMels) remain unknown. Here, we generated hiMels from vitiligo patients using a three-dimensional system with enhanced differentiation efficiency, which showed characteristics of human epidermal melanocytes with high sequence similarity and involved in multiple vitiligo-associated signaling pathways.

Co@NiSe₂ electrode materials were synthesized via a simple hydrothermal method by using nickel foam in situ as the backbone and subsequently characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and a specific surface area analyzer. Results show that the Co@NiSe₂ electrode exhibits a nanowire structure and grows uniformly on the nickel foam base. These features make the electrode show a relatively high specific surface area and electrical conductivity, and thus exhibit excellent electrochemical performance.

Problem: We investigated the effect of Xianziyizhen recipe capsule (XRC), a kidney-tonifying herb, on the PGI2-PPARδ signaling pathway at the maternal-fetal interface in embryo implantation dysfunction (EID) mice.

Method Of Study: Intragastric administration of Progynova (estradiol) or XRC was performed in EID mouse model, following experimental induction of kidney deficiency by co-treatment with chemotherapy drug hydroxyurea and antiprogesterone mifepristone. The PPARδ and IL-11 mRNA expression in endometrium were detected by real-time relative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).

Purpose: To clarify the prognostic value of molecular diagnosis of SLN metastases in cervical cancer using SCCA.

Experimental Design: All SLNs and primary tumors, part of non-SLNs, were harvested from 36 patients with cervical cancer. Expression levels of SCCA, cytokeratin 19 (CK19), and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) mRNA in 178 samples (29 primary tumors, 5 histologic positive nodes, 60 histologic negative SLNs, 69 non-SLNs, and 15 normal nodes) were assessed by quantitative reverse transcription-PCR assay.

Objective: To investigate the effect and mechanism of E-leng Capsule (ELC) in preventing and treating post-operation recurrence of ovarian endometriotic cysts (OEC).

Methods: A total of 60 patients enrolled were the inpatients, who underwent cystectomy of OEC in the Gynecological Department of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2002 to 2004. They were randomly assigned to two groups, the treatment group and the control group.

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Penyanqing Capsule (PYQC) in treating pelvic inflammation of Qi-stagnation with blood stasis syndrome.

Methods: The randomized, single blinded, parallel positive drug controlled method was adopted, with 82 patients assigned into two groups by envelop method. The 42 patients in the treated group received PYQC 3 times a day, 4 capsules each time taken orally; the 40 patients in the control group were given orally Fuyankang tablets (FYKT) 3 times a day, 6 tablets each time.
