[Effect of meteorological factors on design farmland drainage modulus.].

Calculation of design drainage modulus is of great importance for the safety of farmland and reduction of waterlogging loss. We investigated the effects of main meteorological factors on design farmland drainage modulus by focusing on a closed farmland area in Ninghe District of Tianjin City. To resolve the problem of limited observation, the parameter sensitivity was analyzed according to mutual information and partial rank correlation coefficient aiming at the total runoff depth based on field observation experiment.

Toxicity of Graphene Quantum Dots in Zebrafish Embryo.

Objective: To evaluate the bio-safety of graphene quantum dots (GQDs), we studied its effects on the embryonic development of zebrafish.

Methods: In vivo, biodistribution and the developmental toxicity of GQDs were investigated in embryonic zebrafish at exposure concentrations ranging from 12.5-200 μg/mL for 4-96 h post-fertilization (hpf).

Environmental behavior of benalaxyl and furalaxyl enantiomers in agricultural soils.

The enantioselective environmental behavior of the chiral fungicides benalaxy and furalaxyl in agricultural soils in China was studied. Although sorption onto soils was non-enantioselective, the leaching of benalaxy and furalaxyl was enantioselective in soil columns. The concentrations of the S-enantiomers of both fungicides in the leachates were higher than the R-enantiomers.

Characterization and photocatalytic property of Pd/TiO2 with the oxidation of gaseous benzene.

Increasing environmental pollution caused by the volatile organic compounds due to their toxicity is a matter of great concern. So it is crucial to develop processes which can destroy these compounds effectively. It has been found that the photocatalytic activity of TiO(2) towards the decomposition of gaseous benzene can be greatly enhanced by loading Pd on the surface of TiO(2).

[Studies on the ploymorphic of sperm of F2 hybrids of red crucian carp x common carp].

AThe ultrastructures of the sperm of F2 hybrids of red crucian carp x common carp were studied by using scanning and transmission electron microscope. The sperm of the F2 hybrids consisted of head, mid-piece and tail. There was no acrosome at the anterior end of the nuclears, whereas there was a vesicle.

[Cloning and identification of a mouse zinc finger protein gene ZF-12-related pseudogene].

The mouse zinc finger protein ZF-12 gene is homologous to human gene and encodes a protein of 368 amino acids, which contains four tandem C2H2-type zinc finger motifs in the N-terminal and one SCAN domain in the C-terminal. Some recent studies suggest that ZNF191 might be a hepatocarcinogenesis-associated gene. We screened a mouse lambda genomic library with a human ZNF191 cDNA probe and isolated a ZF-12-like gene, named ZF12p (GenBank AY040222).
