Data is the core foundation of intelligent operation and maintenance, but currently, there is generally insufficient data for wastewater treatment plants, and the status of wastewater treatment systems dynamically evolves with the changes in the internal and external environment. The intelligent operation and maintenance of wastewater plants face difficulties in modeling and model drift caused by system evolution. In response to this issue, the summer and winter seasons with significant differences in wastewater temperature, wastewater quality, and microbial status were selected as typical comparison scenarios.

The American Academy of Pediatrics updated the guidelines for the management of hyperbilirubinemia in the newborn infants with a gestational age of ≥35 weeks in September 2022. Based on the evidence over the past 18 years, the guidelines are updated from the aspects of the prevention, risk assessment, intervention, and follow-up of hyperbilirubinemia in the newborn infants with a gestational age of ≥35 weeks. This article gives an interpretation of the key points in the guidelines, so as to safely reduce the risk of bilirubin encephalopathy and unnecessary intervention.

Methods: School-aged children (SAC) in seven provinces in China were selected by school-based multi-stage sampling. Urinary iodine, salt iodine, and thyroid volume (TVOL) were determined.
Benefited from the massive filling bio-carriers, the packed cage rotating biological contactors (RBCs) have better performance and application potentiality in wastewater treatment. Investigating the effects mechanism of bio-carrier filling rate is crucial for such reactors management. In this study, the pollutants removal performance, biofilms physical characteristics, and microbial communities of the biofilms under a series of bio-carrier filling rates were analyzed.

As a new wastewater biological nitrogen removal process, anammox and partial denitrification coupling not only plays a significant role in the nitrogen cycle, but also holds high engineering application value. Because anammox and some denitrifying bacteria are coupled under harsh living conditions, certain operating conditions and mechanisms of the coupling process are not clear; thus, it is more difficult to control the process, which is why the process has not been widely applied. This paper analyzes the research focusing on the coupling process in recent years, including anammox and partial denitrification coupling process inhibitors such as nitrogen (NH , NO ), organics (toxic and non-toxic organics), and salts.

Traditional suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) and RNA-Seq usually screen out thousands of differentially expressed genes. However, identification of the most important regulators has not been performed to date.
