Background: Depression and anxiety are prevalent among older adults. However, most older adults have poor access to age-specific mental health services. While Information technology-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) has shown promise as an accessible alternative to face-to-face interventions, its effectiveness specifically within the older adults warrants further investigation.

Infertility affects 10-12 % of couples worldwide, 50 % of which are male. Abnormal spermatogenesis is among the main causes of male infertility. We were curious about the possible role of transmembrane channel-like protein 7 (TMC7) in spermatogenesis because of its aberrant expression in several male infertility patients.

However, the superiority of surgery over conservative medical treatment (CMT) and the comparative benefits of different surgical procedures remain unclear. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of various surgical interventions for treating ICH.

Particularly, the PD-1/PD-L1 axis is widely recognized for its critical role in tumor microenvironment immunosuppression. Antibodies targeting PD-1 or PD-L1 have shown sustained efficacy against various cancers, including CRC.

Methods: We collected clinical data on 227 patients with end-stage renal disease who were first diagnosed at our institution between February 1, 2023 and February 1, 2024, and were followed up regularly for 12 weeks post-AVF creation, with the diameter of the draining vein and the brachial artery volume flow (VF) recorded at 1 day, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks post-operation. We focused on the time of AVF maturation, and ultrasonographic diagnostic criteria 1 (the vein diameter was ≥4 mm, and the brachial artery VF was >500 mL/min, referred to as the "Rule of 4") and ultrasonographic diagnostic criteria 2 (the vein diameter was ≥5 mm, and the brachial artery VF was> 500 mL/min, referred to as the "Rule of 5") were used to evaluate the maturation of AVF.
Recent studies have revealed a structural role for DNA ligase 4 (Lig4) in the maintenance of a repair complex during non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) of DNA double-strand breaks. In cultured cell lines, catalytically inactive Lig4 can partially alleviate the severe DNA repair phenotypes observed in cells lacking Lig4. To study the structural role of Lig4 in vivo, a mouse strain harboring a point mutation to Lig4's catalytic site was generated.

Recent studies have identified a connection between the gut microbiota and METH-induced neurotoxicity and behavioral disorders. However, the underlying causal mechanisms linking the gut microbiota to METH pathophysiology remain largely unexplored.

Here, we obtained a new matrix protein (hicraqin) from Hyriopsis cumingii. The amino acid sequence of hicraqin contains multiple aggregated (Gly)n (n > 2) residues, a feature unique to silk-like matrix proteins.

The diversity of its clinical features and treatment responses may reveal the complex pathophysiological mechanisms of the disease. To enhance the therapeutic response rate and improve the prognosis for SLE patients with concurrent ITP, while reducing adverse events during the treatment process, it is crucial to accurately identify and apply clinical parameters to predict patients' responses to treatment.

Objective: Psychiatric disorders have been associated with Constipation in observational studies, although their causal relationships remain uncertain. We used Mendelian randomization analysis to infer causality between Schizophrenia and Major Depressive Disorder with Constipation.
Methods: The exposure of interest was Psychiatric disorders, including Schizophrenia (SCZ) and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
Obesity and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) are established risk factors for drug-induced liver injury (DILI). The previous study demonstrates that benzbromarone (BBR), a commonly prescribed pharmaceutical agent for managing gout and hyperuricemia, exacerbates hepatic steatosis and liver injury specifically in obese individuals. However, the precise mechanism underpinning this adverse effect remains incompletely elucidated.

In most cases, lesions are revealed early by microvascular pathological changes in cavity tissues. There is a significant demand for the performance of endoscopic OCT angiography (OCTA) to visualize the superficial capillaries.

Due to the lack of a well-understood action mechanism of TBD, we examined the effects of TBD in cell autophagy via phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B/mammalian aimed of rapamycin (PI3K/Akt/mTOR) signaling pathway associated with constipation.
Aim Of This Study: To determine the mechanism which underlined the effects of TBD for activating PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway to inhibit the autophagy in rat.
The emergence of abnormal protein bands (APBs), also known as oligoclonal protein bands, has been documented in patients with multiple myeloma (MM) post hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. However, the incidence rate and clinical significance of APBs remain contentious. Few studies have explored the occurrence and prognostic implications of APBs in patients with MM treated with B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA)-specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T therapy.

Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs) have shown potential as a therapeutic option for lupus nephritis (LN), particularly in patients refractory to conventional treatments. Despite extensive translational research on MSCs, the precise mechanisms by which MSCs migrate to the kidney and restore renal function remain incompletely understood. Here, we aim to clarify the spatiotemporal characteristics of hUC-MSC migration into LN kidneys and their interactions with host cells in microenvironment.

Optimal countermeasures such as ample recovery sleep are often unfeasible, and brief naps, while helpful, do not fully restore cognitive performance following SD. Thus, we propose that targeted interventions, such as repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), may enhance cognitive performance recovery post-SD.

However, the role of alternative splicing (AS) in DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) repair and synapsis remains elusive. In this study, we investigated the impact of conditional knockout (cKO) of the splicing factor gene Bcas2 in mouse germ cells, revealing impaired DSBs repair and synapsis, resulting in non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA).

Here, we report the discovery of superconductivity and electronic nematic order in high-quality single-crystals of a new titanium-based kagome metal, CsTiBi, that preserves the translation symmetry, in stark contrast to the charge density wave superconductor AVSb. Transport and magnetic susceptibility measurements show superconductivity with an onset superconducting transition temperature T of approximately 4.

Immunotherapy is initially envisioned as a powerful approach to train immune cells within the tumor microenvironment (TME) and lymphoid tissues to elicit strong anti-tumor responses. However, clinical cancer immunotherapy still faces challenges, such as limited immunogenicity and insufficient immune response. Leveraging the advantages of mesoporous silica (MS) materials in controllable drug and immunomodulator release, recent efforts have focused on engineering MS with intrinsic immunoregulatory functions to promote robust, systemic, and safe anti-tumor responses.
