Fiber strain sensors are promising for constructing high-performance wearable electronic devices due to their light weight, high flexibility and excellent integration. However, the conductivity of most reported fiber strain sensors is severely degraded, following deformation upon stretching, and it is still a considerable challenge to achieve both high conductivity and stretchability. Herein, we have fabricated a fiber strain sensor with high conductivity and stretchability by integrating the AgNPs into the multi-walled carbon nanotube/graphene/thermoplastic polyurethane (MWCNT/GE/TPU) fiber.

Osteosarcoma, a malignant bone tumor often characterized by high hedgehog signaling activity, residual tumor cells, and substantial bone defects, poses significant challenges to both treatment response and postsurgical recovery. Here, we developed a nanocomposite hydrogel for the sustained co-delivery of bioactive magnesium ions, anti-PD-L1 antibody (αPD-L1), and hedgehog pathway antagonist vismodegib, to eradicate residual tumor cells while promoting bone regeneration post-surgery. In a mouse model of tibia osteosarcoma, this hydrogel-mediated combination therapy led to remarkable tumor growth inhibition and hence increased animal survival by enhancing the activity of tumor-suppressed CD8 T cells.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide that can lead to serious injury and death. Although polysaccharides are widely recognized as having antitumor activity, there has been little research on the role of barley polysaccharides (BP) in colorectal cancer. The results of our research suggest that BP (300 mg/kg) had a significant inhibitory effect on colorectal cancer, and this effect was achieved through two pathways.

The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated protein 9 (CRISPR/Cas9) system has been widely applied in animals as an efficient genome editing tool. However, the technique is difficult to implement in fish cell lines partially due to the lack of efficient promoters to drive the expression of both sgRNA and the Cas9 protein within a single vector. In this study, it was indicated that the zebrafish U6 RNA polymerase III (ZFU6) promoter could efficiently induce tyrosinase (tyr) gene editing and lead to loss of retinal pigments when co-injection with Cas9 mRNA in zebrafish embryo.

Background: Programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) and programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors have become integral elements within the current landscape of breast cancer treatment modalities; however, they are associated with interstitial lung disease (ILD), which is rare but potentially fatal. Notably, only a few studies have compared the difference in ILD incidence between PD-1 and PD-L1 inhibitors. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the discrepancies regarding ILD risk between the two immune checkpoint inhibitors.
