Aim: To conduct a concept analysis of evidence-based leadership in a nursing context.
Methods: Rodgers' evolutionary method was employed to identify attributes, antecedents, consequences, definitions and surrogate and related terms.
Data Source: We systematically searched three databases (PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature and Scopus) for relevant publications.
Purpose: This study aims to design an auxiliary segmentation model for thyroid nodules to increase diagnostic accuracy and efficiency, thereby reducing the workload of medical personnel.
Methods: This study proposes a Dual-Path Attention Mechanism (DPAM)-UNet++ model, which can automatically segment thyroid nodules in ultrasound images. Specifically, the model incorporates dual-path attention modules into the skip connections of the UNet++ network to capture global contextual information in feature maps.
Background/objectives: Despite strong evidence that breastfeeding, skin-to-skin care, and sucrose reduce pain in newborns during minor painful procedures, these interventions remain underutilized in practice. To address this knowledge-to-practice gap, we produced a five-minute parent-targeted video demonstrating the analgesic effects of these strategies and examined whether the use of newborn pain treatment increased in maternal-newborn care settings following the introduction of the video by nurses.
Methods: The design was a pre-post outcome evaluation.
Background: The management of procedural pain in pediatric patients under 1 year old is crucial but often inadequately addressed in clinical practice. Despite proven evidence-based interventions like skin-to-skin contact, sweet solutions, and breastfeeding, their implementation remains sporadic. This systematic review aims to uncover the barriers and facilitators to adopting these interventions, leveraging the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) to provide a structured analysis.

What Is Added By This Report?: This report assessed the age at take-off and age at peak height velocity for children and adolescents in China from 2012 to 2020.
Background: Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) has been shown to effectively support postsurgical recovery in patients with lung cancer (LC) at various stages. While digital PR programs offer a potential solution to traditional challenges, such as time and space constraints, their efficacy and feasibility for patients undergoing LC surgery remain unclear.
Objective: This systematic review aims to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of digital PR programs for individuals undergoing LC surgery.
Aim: This study aimed to explore 1) factors that influenced the evidence-based practice competencies and behaviors of clinical nurses and 2) the interaction between the organizational evidence-based practice culture, head nurses' implementation leadership, and nurses' evidence-based practice competencies and behaviors.
Background: The significance of organizational evidence-based practice culture and head nurses' implementation leadership in enhancing nurses' evidence-based practice competencies and behavior is widely recognized in healthcare settings. However, there is limited knowledge of how these factors influence nurses' evidence-based practice competencies and behavior.
Background: The induction of stem cell differentiation to generate intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) with absorptive functions offers significant therapeutic potential for treating conditions such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, radiation enteritis, and other refractory intestinal epithelial injuries. Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs) are capable of differentiating into functional IEC-like cells.
Objective: This study aimed to induce the differentiation of hUC-MSCs into IECs using a conditioned medium co-culture method.

Supramolecular peptide hydrogels (SPHs) consist of peptides containing hydrogelators and functional epitopes, which can first self-assemble into nanofibers and then physically entangle together to form dynamic three-dimensional networks. Their porous structures, excellent bioactivity, and high dynamicity, similar to an extracellular matrix (ECM), have great potential in artificial ECM. The properties of the hydrogel are largely dependent on peptides.

However, there is limited knowledge of the components of coaching interventions and their impacts on healthcare managers' leadership development. This mixed-methods systematic review aimed to synthesize evidence of coaching to develop leadership among healthcare managers.

Although vaccination effectively prevents viral infections, vaccine hesitancy remains a major barrier to achieving high vaccination rates. To address this, we conducted a qualitative survey using Vaccine Hesitancy Determinants Matrix and 5C model to understand and improve vaccination rates in this group.

As the implementation of recommendations in Guidelines among healthcare professionals is weak, it is important to identify barriers to guideline implementation for developing appropriate strategies for specific settings and target groups. This study aimed to assess the difficulty and urgency in implementing the recommendations in the Guideline, identifying the factors affecting the implementation of these recommendations to realize the clinical translation of the Guideline.

Despite its relevance, global herpes zoster immunisation coverage remains alarmingly low. Understanding the factors that drive vaccine scepticism and acceptance is crucial for increasing immunisation rates and improving public health outcomes.

The core circadian rhythm molecule Bmal1 regulates chondrocyte proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis; however, its roles in condylar cartilage function and in TMJ OA have not been fully elucidated.
Materials And Methods: TMJ OA mouse model was induced by unilateral anterior crossbite (UAC) and Bmal1 protein expression in condylar cartilage were examined by western blot analysis.
Background: Recent studies provide compelling evidence linking the gut microbiota to most cancers. Nevertheless, further research is required to establish a definitive causal relationship between the gut microbiota and malignant cardiac tumors.
Methods: The genome-wide association studies (GWAS) data on the human gut Microbiota, included in the IEU Open GWAS project, was initially collected by the MiBioGen consortium.
Background: The diversity in the workforce of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists does not reflect the changing demographics.
Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate a national mentorship program supporting underrepresented nurses' applications for nurse anesthesia education programs.
Methods: Convenience sampling was employed to recruit the participants for this descriptive cross-sectional survey.
A dual-signal optical sensing platform was successfully developed for the determination of ascorbic acid (AA) based on blue fluorescent carbon dots (CDs) and manganese dioxide nanosheets (MnO NSs) with strong Tyndall effect (TE) scattering and fluorescence quenching capabilities. In this nanosystem, CDs-MnO NS composites were employed as probes to evaluate the AA concentration. Owing to the strong reduction, the presence of the target AA could reduce the MnO NSs to Mn and induce the degradation of the MnO NSs, resulting in a significant decrease in the TE scattering intensity of the MnO NSs and the fluorescence recovery of the CDs.

Studies showed that nurse managers in China lacked competencies and behaviours necessary to lead evidence-based practice implementation. The aim of the current study was to develop a context-fit training program prototype to enhance leadership competencies and behaviours regarding evidence-based practice implementation of Chinese unit nurse managers.

Purpose: We compare the efficacy of dexamethasone injection at different sites on postoperative sequelae after extracting mandibular impacted third molars (MITMs).
Background: Previous investigations have explored the associations between immune cell signatures and osteoarthritis (OA); however, causality remains unclear. This study employs an integrated analysis, combining bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) and Bayesian colocalization (Coloc), to investigate causal relationships between 731 immune cells signatures and OA, identifying shared causal variants.
Methods: Utilizing publicly available summary data, this study primarily employs inverse variance weighting (IVW).
Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is esteemed as a high-performance engineering polymer renowned for its exceptional mechanical properties and thermal stability. Nonetheless, the majority of polymer-based lubricating materials fail to meet the contemporary industrial demands for motion components regarding high speed, heavy loading, temperature resistance, and precise control. Utilizing 3D printing technology to design and fabricate intricately structured components, developing high-performance polymer self-lubricating materials becomes imperative to fulfill the stringent operational requirements of motion mechanisms.
