Objectives: To establish a quantitative method for objectively assessing 3-dimensional (3D) mandibular trajectories and comparing clinical evaluations with computational analyses.

Flexible three-carbon skeleton makes N, N, N', N'-tetramethyl-1,3-propanediamine (TMPDA) an important diamine system to investigate the conformation-dependent electron lone pair interactions and charge delocalization. The charge transfer process linked to structural motions of the three-carbon skeleton has been monitored in real time by the Rydberg electron binding energy (BE) spectra of TMPDA coupled with quantum chemical calculations. Schizophrenia is a mental health disorder that often includes psychomotor disturbances, impacting how individuals adjust their motor output based on the cause of motor errors. While previous motor adaptation studies on individuals with schizophrenia have largely focused on large and consistent perturbations induced by abrupt experimental manipulations, such as donning prism goggles, the adaptation process to random perturbations, either caused by intrinsic motor noise or external disturbances, has not been examined - despite its ecological relevance. Here, we used a unified behavioral task paradigm to examine motor adaptation to perturbations of three causal structures among individuals in the remission stage of schizophrenia, youth with ultra-high risk of psychosis, adults with active symptoms, and age-matched controls.

The terahertz (THz) band has a great potential for the development of communication technology, but it has not been fully utilized due to the lack of practical devices, especially actively controllable multifunctional devices. Here, we propose and demonstrate a GeSbTe (GST)-based metamaterial device, where an actively controllable function is experimentally verified by inducing the crystallization process with thermal activation. Cross-polarization conversion in the reflection mode and circular-to-linear polarization conversion in the transmission mode are obtained under crystalline and amorphous GST conditions, respectively.

As a component of printed circuit substrate, copper clad laminate (CCL) needs to meet the performance requirements of heat resistance, flame retardancy, and low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), which, respectively, affects the stability, safety, and processability of terminal electronic products. In this paper, benzocyclobutylene (BCB)-functionalized phosphorus-oxygen flame retardant composites were prepared through introducing the BCB groups, and the performance was researched by thermogravimetric analysis, microcombustion calorimetry, and thermomechanical analysis. The research results show that these phosphorus oxide compounds containing BCB groups show good thermal stability and low total heat release (THR) after thermal curing, and the more BCB groups on the phosphorus oxide monomers, the better the thermal stability and flame retardancy of cured resins.

Replica symmetry breaking (RSB) has been widely recognized as a statistical analysis approach to understand the disorder and nonlinear interactions in complex systems ranging from atoms to the cosmic scale. However, it is challenging to analyze the nonlinear optical characteristics of random laser (RL) in disordered gain medium via RSB due to the lack of a general RSB-based statistical analysis framework. With the rapid development of interregional power transmission, the redistribution of fossil and renewable energy resources has changed sharply, and its complexity poses a challenge to the evaluation of power carbon emission responsibility. This study constructs an interprovincial power transmission framework to measure the seasonal carbon emissions embodied in regional electricity consumption over the period of 2008-2015 based on quarterly data.
