Two-dimensional van der Waals material CuCrPS (CCPS) has attracted significant attention for its coexistence of antiferromagnetic and antiferroelectric states, which have been reported to give rise to strong optical anisotropy. Here, we investigate its anisotropic quasi-particle decay dynamics using polarization-resolved femtosecond transient optical spectroscopy. We observe that the quasi-particle decay dynamics in the CCPS single crystal strongly correlate with its spin ordering.

Our study aimed to investigate the relationship between δ-catenin expression and whole-brain small-world network in breast cancer patients before chemotherapy using rs-fMRI. The study was based on the hypothesis that different δ-catenin expression levels correspond to distinct brain imaging characteristics. A total of 105 pathologically confirmed breast cancer patients were collected and categorized into high δ-catenin expression (DH, 52 cases) and low expression (DL, 53 cases) groups.

The consumption of contaminated aquatic products may expose humans to residues of parabens, triclosan (TCS), and triclocarban (TCC). Despite its significance, empirical research on this issue remains limited. In this study, we employed high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) to analyze extracts from 245 aquatic product samples collected randomly from local markets in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.

Objective: To investigate the feasibility and performance of 4D flow MRI accelerated by compressed sensing (CS) for the hemodynamic quantification of intracranial artery and venous sinus.

Materials And Methods: Forty healthy volunteers were prospectively recruited, and 20 volunteers underwent 4D flow MRI of cerebral artery, and the remaining volunteers underwent 4D flow MRI of venous sinus. A series of 4D flow MRI was acquired with different acceleration factors (AFs), including sensitivity encoding (SENSE, AF = 4) and CS (AF = CS4, CS6, CS8, and CS10) at a 3.

Backgrounds: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) has become a significant global public health issue, characterized by a rising prevalence and associated deficits across multiple organ systems. Our study aims to utilize the DTI-ALPS technique to assess the change of ALPS index in T2DM patients, and to explore whether such changes are correlated with cognition level and diffusion parameters.

Methods: The study involved 41 patients with T2DM (mean age, 60.

Objective: We investigated the feasibility of using compressed sensitivity encoding (CS-SENSE) to accelerate high-resolution black-blood T1-weighted imaging with variable flip angles (T1WI-VFA) for efficient visualization and characterization of lenticulostriate arteries (LSAs) on a 3.0 T MR scanner.

Materials And Methods: Twenty-five healthy volunteers and 18 patients with the cerebrovascular disease were prospectively enrolled.

Pyrrolidine, an important feedstock in the chemical industry, is commonly produced vapor-phase catalytic ammoniation of tetrahydrofuran (THF). Obtaining pyrrolidine with high purity and low energy cost has extremely high economic and environmental values. Here we offer a rapid and energy-saving method for adsorptive separation of pyrrolidine and THF by using nonporous adaptive crystals of per-ethyl pillar[6]arene (EtP6).

Article Synopsis
  • - CGA, a peptide from chromogranin A, has been found to protect against brain injury caused by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in mice models, but the exact mechanism remains unclear.
  • - Research demonstrated that CGA helps maintain the integrity of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) during LPS-induced sepsis, as evidenced by reduced hyperpermeability and preservation of tight junction proteins.
  • - The study suggests that the protective effects of CGA involve the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, indicating it could be a promising therapeutic target for treating septic brain injuries.

The fabrication of single-molecule white-light emission (SMWLE) materials has become a highly studied topic in recent years and through-space charge transfer (TSCT) is emerging as an important concept in this field. However, the preparation of ideal TSCT-based SMWLE materials is still a big challenge. Herein, we report a bifunctional pillar[5]arene (TPCN-P5-TPA) with a linear donor-spacer-acceptor structure and aggregation-induced emission (AIE) property.

Chemoresponsive supramolecular systems with infinite switching capability are important for applications in recycled materials and intelligent devices. To attain this objective, here a chemoresponsive polypseudorotaxane is reported on the basis of a bis(p-phenylene)-34-crown-10 macrocycle (H) and a cyano-substituted viologen guest (G). H and G form a [2]pseudorotaxane (H⊃G) both in solution and in the solid state.

Objective: To investigate the effect and indication of one stage posterior debridement and bone grafting fusion and internal fixation for thoracic tuberculosis.

Methods: From January 2005 to May 2011,12 patients with thoracic tuberculosis were treated with one stage posterior debridement and pedicle screw fixation combined with regular anti-tuberculosis treatment before and after operation. There were 7 males and 5 females, with an average age of 45 years and average course of 15 months.
