Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1α (HNF1α) is a transcription factor that is crucial for the regulation to maintain the function of pancreatic β-cell, hepatic lipid metabolism, and other processes. Mature-onset diabetes of the young type 3 is a monogenic form of diabetes caused by HNF1α mutations. Although several mutation sites have been reported, the specific mechanisms remain unclear, such hot-spot mutation as the P291fsinsC mutation and the P112L mutation and so on.

Some tubulin inhibitors targeting the colchicine binding site are not substrates of the multidrug-resistance efflux pump, which can overcome the mechanism of drug resistance mediated by P-glycoprotein. SSE15206 is a colchicine binding site inhibitor with antiproliferative activity against different drug-resistant cell lines.

A broad range of agents, including ELR510444 and parbendazole, can bind to tubulin and interfere with microtubule assembly. ELR510444 and parbendazole are colchicine binding site inhibitors with antiproliferative activities.

However, the anticancer effects and associated mechanisms of chalcones against intestinal tumorigenesis currently remain unclear. The aim of the present study was to investigate the chemopreventive effect of a chalcone derivative, 4'-hydroxychalcone (4-HC), in a transgenic adenomatous polyposis coli multiple intestinal neoplasia mouse model () of spontaneous intestinal adenomas.

Materials And Methods: MFN1 gene expression in guinea pigs was examined during the development of minus LIM, 15 tri-colored guinea pigs were obtained, and one eye of each pig was randomly selected and treated with -7.00D lenses.
Int J Ophthalmol
December 2015
Aim: To explore whether genetic variations in the MFN1 gene are associated with low to moderate myopia in Chinese population.
Methods: The case-control association analysis was used. The study included 100 independent myopia patients (-0.
A flow injection system incorporated with a polycation-sensitive polymeric membrane electrode in the flow cell is proposed for potentiometric determination of heparin. An external current in nano-ampere scale is continuously applied across the polymeric membrane for controlled release of protamine from the inner filling solution to the sample solution, which makes the electrode membrane regenerate quickly after each measurement. The protamine released at membrane-sample interface is consumed by heparin injected into the flow cell via their strong electrostatic interaction, thus decreasing the measured potential, by which heparin can be detected.

It is important to rapidly determine and identify trace levels of pathogens in real environmental samples. We report here on a label-free potentiometric aptasensor for rapid, sensitive, and selective detection of Listeria monocytogenes (LM), a pathogen widely distributed in the environment.

Recently, the cytological map has been constructed using comparative genomic hybridization-genomic in situ hybridization and BAC-based fluorescence in situ hybridization. Dense cytogenetic maps are being constructed by integrating cytological map with molecular linkage maps.
